Great for car shows, not so great for snow
In NYC, it's required to have both a front plate and a rear plate. Yet drilling into the bumper is a huge no-no in the car world, especially if your car goes to shows. Thanks to this non-motorized plate frame, now I can screw UNDER the bumper to secure it, much better than INTO the bumper. No unsightly drill holes! My only complaint would be once in a bad snowstorm, the plate frame ripped off due to catching on an iced over snowbank (happens when snow starts to melt in shoveled piles). I lost my plate that day, resulting in a costly DMV replacement to ensure I had a front plate. Might not be so good for daily use, but definitely something I have for my showcar on weekends and car shows. There are soft pads on the back as well to ensure you don't damage your car's paint from the back of the plate knocking on your bumper while driving. Huge improvement in my mind and something that really makes me feel happier when I look at the car.

Looks Great
The front of a C7 Corvette is not an easy place to put a license plate. Mine didn't come with any mounting bracket. This holder is awesome because it mounts from underneath the front so your not touching the front of the car. It folds down and slides back to be a no-show if your car is on display somewhere. Well made. Highly Recommend!!

KITT Loves It!
This hides KITT's front license plate nicely under his nose. Legally we have to have a front plate so this is the perfect solution for shows and events! Yes....you read that right....KITT! :-)

Fits a Fiero
Used this to mount a front plate on my 1987 “aero” Fiero. This kept me from having to put holes in the front fascia. I instead put the holes underneath and the plate tucked neatly under the parking light on the passengers side when deployed. Best thing I’ve found

Doesn't fit a 2016 Z51 very well.
The first problem I encountered was that the bracket was missing two screws. I had to go to the hardware store and buy some. The second is that the plastic piece that mounts into the bottom of the car did not fit tight. (This plastic piece is what the bracket is screwed into.) The front of the bracket screws into two existing screw holes without issues. I did use the required size drill bit to drill the hole but it should have fit tighter. I ended up gluing the piece to the car which then held it in place. I would also like to add that the instructions were difficult to read as they looked like a copy of a copy of a copy etc. Finally, when the bracket is in the hidden position, about 2" of the front part of the bracket is still exposed. This may fit other cars better. Mine is a 2016 Z51.

Modified to work on a 1968 Corvette!
Modified to work on a 1968 Corvette. Works pretty well too. I thought about going electric but already had added to much additional electrics in the car. The mods I made were additional bracketry, no mods were required for the actual device, it was installed stock.
