Five Little Monkeys Bake a Birthday Cake (A Five Little Monkeys Story)

We love The Five Little Monkey Books. This one is for Mama’s birthday and it’s a great book of repetitive sentences but has the funny humor to a kids book.

I bought all the books in the series for my granddaughter. She loves them. We read them all together everyday

We got this board book for our 18 month old twins and I love it! It's cute and entertaining for both parents and children. We have liked most of the "five little monkeys" series and this is one of the better ones!

My twin grandsons love all of these "Monkey" books. Started off, like many, with Monkeys on the Bed, then we got baking a cake, taking a bath; and they love all of them!

Any book you get for your child is a good book.I have a degree in English and happen to be a very big advocate for reading to infants. I now most people will not read Shakespeare, Poe, Keller or Rowling like I do, but I also love reading her children’s books.I have all the Monkey books for Azalea and she loves them. I find the pictures keep her interest as I read. She is always going for the Monkey books when she wants to be read to.Highly recommended…

However this book is beyond painful for me to read. All the Five Little Monkeys books are. The repetitiveness of this book makes me dread to read it, but my toddler son absolutely loves this book. He's crazy about cooking and baking and this book definitely fit the bill for him. So if you're willing to take one for the kids, and your little one likes cooking/baking, this book is great.The pictures are cute too, though (spoiler) it concerns me that Mama is in bed with earmuffs on while her five hooligans are causing havoc in the house. I read too much into these things, I admit.

Ordered 5 of the books in the series. Grandson’s love me reading to them and following along with the pictures. Would highly recommend.

My grandson is autistic and he will not usually allow us to read stories *or* read to us, but he loves these stories, so I buy them all. The monkeys appeal to his sense of humor and this book in particular had lots of things going wrong, so he thought it was very funny. If you have a child who loves to laugh when silly things happen, this is a good book for him or her.

So nice book that my son let me read almost every evening!

The media could not be loaded. This is such an adorable book! It is not your tradition 5 little monkeys book with counting, it’s just a cute story about the 5 monkeys making their mom a birthday cake. My daughter loves the part where it says “shh don’t wake mama”. I whisper that part and she thinks it is so funny. A huge hit in our house. Would highly recommend!
