Looks great, and works as advertised.The spoon holds about 2 tsp (10 ml), which is just the right amount of dry tea for my taste with my 10 ounce mug.The "wings" on the sides extend almost 4.75", resting easily on my mugs. When brewing is done, they are quite warm, but not so much that I can't lift the brewer from the mug.The cap doesn't "snap" onto the brewer, but sits on top to retain heat as my tea brews. It works quite well as a rest for the brew basket after it is removed from the mug.I have used it for less than 1 month (not daily), and am already drinking more tea than I did with my old screen mesh tea balls. I find it much easier to use and clean. I have used only in my mugs, not in a tea pot yet.Tea being a dry product, I find a little "dust" in the bottom of my mug, but for me some tea dust isn't an issue.It's not flimsy, I can knock it against the edge of my garbage container to dislodge most of the spent tea leaves.

High-quality stainless steel tea steeper kit. Very well-crafted with an overall smooth finish. The sturdy cover of the steeper doubles as a compact tray when in use. The very fine pore size on this steeper is what makes this product stand out in my opinion. It handles even very fine tea (such as rooibos - pictures) quite well without letting much particles (if any) go through. Though the same cannot be said for extremely fine / powder-like herbal teas (as also pictured), I still maintain my five-star rating since I do not believe any other steel tea strainer(s) out there would be able to handle such herbal powders any differently. In these few herbal variants I believe filter tea bag pouches would be the only way to go. The teaspoon scoop in this kit resembles the separately sold "teavana perfect teaspoon" that goes for more than five dollars. For the price and its smooth heavy craftsmanship, I have highly recommended this kit to my family and friends.

I rarely rate a product 5 stars, but this one definitely qualifies. I've been needing to drink tea and cut back dramatically on coffee. I've had one of the small 'tea balls' for about 30 years and which I have used on occasion. I wanted something a bit more substantial so came onto Amazon and saw the Bar Brat Tea Infuser. After reading numerous reviews I decided to try it.The fine mesh will allow very very small particles to slip through, but I can't see any tea infuser being able to capture the minute material. The infuser will fit atop any number of sizes of mugs (should fit up to ~4-1/2" wide).The product is sturdy, stainless and can be washed in the dishwasher. One of the best things about this is having the "top" which I use as a bottom to set the infuser in when I'm finished steeping the tea. This comes with a spoon which I don't really find that handy when trying to scoop are large dried tea leaves.I honestly can say that after brewing about 25 cups of tea over the past week that this item is much better than expected. I also appreciated the follow-up from Bar Brat to ensure that I was satisfied with the product.All-in-all a fantastic product!

Hi! This is top quality!, use it for teas or coffee beans! Really like the size!!! Because of the fine mesh you can use this to strain through your light bullion (I cook mine for hours with vegetables-strain off broths for soups and dips). If you are a Southerner like I am, you also like your Sun Tea or Sweet Tea, this infuser keeps those black leaves at the bottom out of your tea!! Also remember that any sweet ice tea is made with one even tablespoon per gallon of baking soda to take out the bitter! Southern secret ;) This strainer has a flat top as picture which allows you to sit at the top of most picnic jugs and servers to steep your tea to optional strength! Really love this will probably buy another one! This is a quality item, fine mesh is wonderful, quick ship! Would make a wonderful basket gift for any occasion!

It's held together well for years and is still going strong. The lid works as a coaster after the infusion is done to catch the last drips.It does get very hot so use caution.Quality is very high in my view. The stainless scoop that comes with is very nice & perfect for measuring out loose tea.

This was an excellent product. I for one love tea, and I've been searching around for a good tea infuser for enjoying loose-leaf. I searched on Amazon for a bit, and this product caught my eye. I was able to get it on sale! I have to say, after receiving the tea infuser and seeing just how high quality it is, I would have bought it for full price in a heartbeat.The product sports a beautiful chrome finish, and each part of the set feels solid. It's easy to use and clean, and when you're finished, the chrome finish allows you to proudly place it on display as well. it's a very aesthetically pleasing item to look at.I'd recommend that any tea enthusiast go give Bar Brat some support by picking up this product.You won't regret it!

In my opinion, this is one of the most perfect strainers for loose leaf tea. It feels fairly heavy and durable and seems like it will last a long time. It looks pretty and modern. I like how small the holes are because they don't allow the actual leaves to come out of the strainer and end up in my cup which I hate. There is a little bit of sediment left at the bottom of my cup depending on the kind of tea I'm making but it's just a very small amount. I like how wide the top is because, depending on the cup, it can almost cover the whole cup and combined with the cover, it keeps the tea nice and hot while steeping. The included teaspoon is an added bonus.The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it does get pretty hot when the tea is steeping. It's an easy fix and I use a towel to take it out of the cup when my tea is finished.

This is the best tea strainer I've had. It's so easy to use and brews the tea so well that I only need to use half the amount of leaves that I was using with my old strainer. I really cannot recommend this highly enough. I've just purchased a second one so that my partner and I have one each. Fantastic!

Super quality with fine mesh that catches all but the finest particles so you don't need a strainer. Good fit for big as well as usual size mugs: on usual size mugs lid inserts in to cover drink till infused; otherwise lid can be used to put strainer in when you remove it so no mess. Spoon is super quality and used all the time now. Excellent buy.

An absolutely beautiful tea strainer and spoon! This is larger than the average tea strainer and holds a lot of tea, which I'm over the moon about! I like having friends over for tea and cake, so I'm tempted to buy yet another one so we can have our own strainer each, particularly if we prefer different teas, so we can have a teapot each!
