Perhaps you make your own jerky at home and ran out of storage space in those 18 freezers in your garage or basement (that will likely be your future resting place if you keep smarting off to your wives, fellas). Perhaps you are one of those dietary-conscious types who love to snack on ultra-healthy, keto-friendly, doesn’t-even-resemble-a-meal (even if you add mustard to the stuff to change things up a little bit). Perhaps you truly enjoy skinny Jim and sometimes cheat on him with Jack and his links. Perhaps gas station jerky is truly the limit of your exposure to snack meat. For all those reasons, seriously try biltong!I'm not a huge fan of jerky. I enjoy it while taking a road trip as a healthier alternative to my usual sugary sour candy and peanut butter cups, but I'm not addicted to it nor did I eat it on the regular. Now that I'm a few bags in, I felt compelled to write the rare review. It not only tastes absolutely fantastic, but it is absolutely as soft as butter and super healthy ... even us couch potatoes who aren't in the gym doing crossfit four times daily or running 5Ks every week can enjoy the sh*t out of this stuff!So if you're tired of what feels like an absolutely ridiculous method to exercise your jaw muscles with the usual beef jerky or you don't enjoy those horrific trips to the toilet with the liquid burn caused by those terribly cheap (and cheaply terrible) gas station meat straws, then seriously give Boma Biltong a shot. You won't regret it, I promise!Definitely taking a bag of this with me on my road trip today!

I can see why some people don't really enjoy this considering that it's not the same as your average beef jerky. It took me a few times to really get into it. When I did, I absolutely love it! It's my go-to snack now and I love that there isn't any sugar or artificial sweetness added (I don't like sweet things). I've tried several brands of Biltong and this one came out on top. My only gripe is that I wish there was a larger bag of it for the price since quite a lot of it consists of really small pieces and doesn't feel satisfactory. However, I'll still keep buying it because I like it that much.

Out of all three flavors that Boma offers, I like garlic and herb the best. It's a really clean tasting beef and you can definitely tell it's high quality and clearly grass fed it's entire life. the garlic and herbs really add to it. I use it almost more like charcuterie than jerky. For the first time I've tasted a beef snack where it really felt like there were no added chemicals to make the texture and flavors feel artificial like those other jerkies that you find at CVS and gas stations. This is three levels above4 ounces of dried beef is a lot. It's the equivalent of almost half a pound of raw beef so you get a lot.

I am a so-so jerky fan, so I find this product OK to eat in small quantities. Its really dry so you'll need a drink. It would be a great choice for camping or overnight backpacking. The freshness is really good. Just bring floss for aftercare of the gums. you'll need it.

This is the best Biltong we have ever tasted! The flavor profile is just as promised...garlicky and delicious. Don’t buy this and expect your run of the mill, tough jerky...it’s like comparing the cheap, rubbery product you find in grocery chains and gas stations to five star restaurant filet. Once you try Boma Biltong, you won’t want to eat regular jerky again. We buy Boma Biltong because there’s nothing else in the market that even comes close for a keto-friendly and healthy snack.

Tastes real gamey, almost inedible

Taste is alright only the first day after opening, after that first day it really looses its flavor and leaves an acidy aftertaste that feels like acid reflex.
