Very Good Coffee!!!
I first discovered this coffee when I visited my daughter in Japan, and the description - probably written by someone who is not quite fluent in English - does not do it justice. These single-serve coffee 'thingys' are wonderful! I brought back several packages the last time I visited Japan and I'm glad to see I can get them on Amazon! It's hard to see from the picture on Amazon, but the coffee is held in a bag, made of the same material an American tea bag is made from, and there are two cardboard wings which suspend the 'coffee bag' over your cup. The wings do a very good job of suspending the coffee bag, and you don't have to worry about it collapsing inward, the whole apparatus will hold up well beyond your making of the cup of coffee. After your coffee water boils, you slowly pour the water into the 'coffee bag' a little at a time, giving the water time to drip/filter through. You can easily see the water level going down in the bag so you know when to pour just a little more water. Just pour the water, a little bit at a time, until the coffee in your cup reaches the bottom of the bag. When the coffee reaches the bottom of the bag, it will cease to filter through, so when you see the water not lowering in the coffee bag, stop pouring. Now, if you're trying to make coffee in the dark (as I did!) so as not to wake your still-sleeping mate, and you're not paying attention to the whether the water is lowering in the coffee bag, you'll pour too much water and have coffee running all over the counter... oh well....Then, to remove the coffee bag from your coffee cup, just grasp the two cardboard wings - you can see them in the picture on Amazon, and just lift the bag out and throw it away... There's nothing to making coffee this way, and it's so much better than those 'in room' coffee pot things!!!The coffee itself is going to taste very good, akin to 'pressed coffee'. If you've never had pressed coffee, it's GOOD! Much better than the regular drip coffee from the Mr. Coffee machine...Anyway, this is good coffee!
