Papermake Handmade Cotton Leather Journal Silver Skin

This is a cute but very thin little journal. It definately does not feel or really look like leather. The cover texture is pretty but not leather-like. It's hard & stiff and the cover is just paper glued to thin cardboard or cardstock so it will only take gentle use. The paper is paper good tho, and the edges are really nicely deckled. I did a watercolor painting on the 1st page which did not bleed through. The texture was lovely to paint on and lovely when finished. I would not pay more than $3 or $4 dollars for this journal (small one). It's cute but won't hold up over time like other better made journals - I love leather journals - and it's very very thin, not much paper at all, OK for a novelty item if you are careful with it. Again, it is very cute looking tho.
