rugged, powerful motor and gearbox
This is a perfect setup for the application I had. Having bought a tractor with a cab, the manual chute rotation crank became a mystery as it stays outside the cab. So I cut it down in length and then mounted this motor on the end of the shaft, operable by a reversing momentary switch in the cab and piggybacking power off from a spot on the in-cab fuse box.My proof of concept prototype was a stripped down 12v cordless drill. This was good but in fitting things into a pvc waterproof container, I lost the variable speed trigger; "on" was ALL on. This new motor has a significant gear reduction that allows some considerable comfort in time on changing chute position. For such an application, remember that this motor housing is NOT waterproof: using some butyl tape and household goop, I have sealed its exterior so it seems impervious to the ice, water and snow inherent in the application. The goop also was instrumental in waterproofing the electrical connections. For such application, consider the mechanical supports required for attachment and how attachment will be made from the arbor shaft to the device. The Climax Part RC-037 Mild Steel, Black Oxide Plating Rigid Coupling, 3/8 inch bore, 3/4 inch OD, 1 inch Length, 1/4-20 x 3/16 Set Screw that was ordered with this does not exactly fit on the shaft. Much filing to get the two to fit, but its a work.

Little Workhorse...
I (after some serious engineering) ama using this motor to turn an 8ft conveyor belt on my 220v screen printing dryer. It used to have a 90v DC motor... The AC to DC board blew .. and this was a much cheaper (and power saving) option. This motor runs sometimes for 12 hours straight. Works .. doesn't get hot. Has GREAT TORQUE. Just order the correct 110 AC to 12v DC power converter and a decent speed controller..

Works very well
Works very well to drive the directional control for my snow blower. Has plenty of torque to drive the screw even when iced up. Very happy.

Rock solid
Rock solid motor. Don't love the connection to the end of the shaft. Doesn't seem very practical to have a spinning motor connect with a threaded end as it can just unscrew itself.

Quiet and plenty of torque
Update:Driving this with an Arduino and Cytron motor controller. The motor is not too noisy and has plenty of torque for my application. I threw a 60 mm pulley on top and was unable to stop it with my bare hands so I'm pretty confident that it'll hold up to other applications once I actually throw a smaller gear on it for the extra mechanical advantage that provides. My only complaint might be that the shaft isn't very tall. Using a 3d printed gear or pulley would require me to sacrifice strength in order to get a nut far enough onto the threads to secure it well. Me and my team ended up taking the drive apart and found it's driven with metal gears, so that should hold up for a long time. Additionally we we able to easily cut off the threaded end of the shaft and weld on a longer shaft for our project. My only complaint, and it's really to be expected, is that using the PWM to speed control the motor generates a whine in the motor and the motor can easily stall at the slower speeds. I think that's just the nature of how we're using this motor.

Works for spinning a 16" prop
Used to make a boat prop spin for walk mounting. Still working on it but works great. Just wish it wasn't so noisy but that is to be expected for the heat reductions. I've ran this for a few hours straight and the motor will get up to 130F so just be cautious how long you use it and ensure ventilation (still need to add this in, might add a computer fan and side vents).

Great product for my uses, would recommend
Using this and the mirror image motor for a lift table. Very happy with the motor build quality.
