I loooove this! The clip is great, you can wear any pants and don't have to worry about having pockets! The cans are actually really big, so it may be harder to hide under your shirt. The spray is spot on and I feel confident that it will keep me safe.

This, like most on the market, with the same size and look canister, uses a patented made in USA design. There are not many players in this market as far as production. Spray can easily be blown right back into your face and makes you even more vulnerable. Gel is absolutely the way to go. Another must is the built in clip for your belt or pocket edge. Many of these brag about coming with a nylon holster or sheath. Well, if you’re using this for defending you and/or your animals when out on walks, you’re not going to have time to open the sheath, pull the canister out from the elastic holding it in, and still be able to protect you or your animals. Aggressive dogs can come out from nowhere. I can say with absolute confidence this stuff works like a charm. I am responsible and keep my two dogs in quality harnesses and leashes. Yes, they are protective of me. That’s that they do. But I can control my dogs. They will not free themselves from the harnesses. The leash is threaded around my leather belt and then my hand. I have had several occasions where irresponsible owners of aggressive dogs either don’t bother to properly harness and leash their dogs, don’t responsibly keep their garage closed, or most commonly for me, they don’t responsibly secure their side gates. I have a two-step process if our safety is at risk. The charging dog gets a focused stream of this stuff to the face. The effect is not 100% immediate. It may take up to one or two seconds for the offending dog to realize they are not feeling so comfy anymore. You then see the dog dart towards grass or dirt to seek relief. This is not a toy. This is to save you and/or your animals from harm. After I spray, if the dog(s) are still lingering, I use a quality flashlight with a direct to strobe function to further disorient the threatening animal. To further protect myself, I wear a very inexpensive clip on body camera that’s recording during every walk, but that’s your call. Finally, don’t forget this particular formula has UV dye in it. The gel and very uncomfortable experience the threatening animal feels goes away after a period of time. The UV dye will remain should you face a circumstance where an irresponsible owner denies their dog got out of their house. You see, I report these incidents to animal control and provide an address if known of thee offending dog. This happened once and I was prepared. When told the owner of the dog insists their dog didn’t get out, in addition to the video, I confidently handed the animal control officer a UV flashlight. He returned to my home 10 minutes later and said the dogs face lit up when the light was used. Be aware of your local laws/regulations regarding OC possession and use. I can end with this… this product has not failed me yet. I always do everything I can to avoid using it, but when I have no choice, it works! They have the exact same canister design, patent number and DOT transport codes as the big brand. As I said, not many companies making this stuff in America. Buy with confidence.

Have used this product on a meth head and i was a little dissapointed on how effective it was. It did stop the aggressor but it did not inflict the type of disabling pain i thought it would

When your met with a threat and deadly force is not necessary. You can leave them with spicy eyes and the vital time to get to safety. Women should include this item in their bag, or purse. It has a long-distance stream of spray of gel and on a windy day it will not blow back like the mist at the defendant causing them to be disoriented and making matters worse.

The description states 1 oz., but the cannisters I received were labelled 1.59 oz.--the same as a more expensive brand. I also find the cannisters to be a great size for carrying--4" tall x 1.5" wide. They fit very comfortably in my hand and in almost any pocket. They are a lot more "firepower" than the smaller conventional 0.5 ounce cans, but still unobtrusive to carry. I have not fired the pepper gel so cannot speak to its range or potency, but I feel confident carrying this. Also, the hinged cap over the spray button is very easy to lift with my thumb but provides nice protection against accidental discharges.

This really works

I carry this canister of bear spray on all my day hikes. It's small and hangs easily on my waist strap for easy access. Honestly, this is a nice piece of security should the need arise & packs a punch when sprayed. I never ever leave it behind even when only going out for an hour on the trails.
