SecurOMax Aux Cable (3.5mm, Male to Male) with Shielded Cord, 6 Feet

NOT ANYMORE!I was a former cable installer for a large cable company in my younger years, and according to basic RF theory, any copper wire is an antenna for ANY background radiation/noise. I had a slim 3.5mm cable before, and I had a horrible, very loud and audible humming noise coming from my speakers even if nothing was playing!After replacing my slim cable with this shielded one, there is no more ambient humming noise from my speakers! I currently use THX/Logitech speakers with a subwoofer, so there is a large frequency range that these speakers can play.The fact I cant hear anything anymore, and neither can my husband, that tells me this 3.5mm cable is actually shielded from outside interference!

This is a great cable and unless you unscrew the cover at each end you might not know how great. The cover for the connection to the plug actually has threads to screw on and off easily and what it reveals is a very well made, sturdy reinforcement under each end cover, which I measured at 3/4". The flexible cable, the reinforcement and the gold plug pins make this cord stand out as possibly the best cord I've ever bought. Which makes the price even more amazing.If it's as durable as it looks it will be the best cord I own or have owned out of maybe 50 I've purchased. It seems like an exceptionally well built cord for a great price. I'll report back if it disappoints.

This completely solved the buzz/hum interference issue that was occurring between my cheap LCD projector and my soundbar. I bought a filter (for more than double the price of this cord) and that reduced the buzz/hum but didn't eliminate it.And the price of this cable is less than the one half of the top-rated Anker one that Amazon recommends. That was the one I was using that had a full, loud buzz/hum.The durability of this cord may be questionable, though. The part that you grab to unplug it came off the first time I unplugged it. To be fair, it was in a tighter-than-normal jack, but I was still surprised. I tried to screw it back on and you can only screw it gently or it skips and starts over on the threads - so it never really gets tight. But I'm not too worried about it.This cord is awesome!

This cable seems to be very well built, sturdy and well worth getting, unfortunately either I read wrong or just didn't understand that it wouldn't work for the purpose I was needing. I will keep it & put it in with the supply of various cables we keep, because it will be needed sooner or later.I'd bought MPOW headphones because my hubby had bought himself some & insisted I needed to get some to use with my new laptop. I'd found a longer cable at WalMart for his, I figured since I was shopping online & getting my headphones I'd get the cable also. It allows sound to come through, but it's muted and tinny sounding. So, not working with my headphones. Either not the right cord for my needs or just not compatible for some reason. Nothing against the cord. :)

I love my new cable. It works great. It didn't knock out the noise you hear when the phone is plugged into the charger 100%, but it knocks it out 90-98%. When there's no music can playing you can hear it a tiny bit. But when the music is playing you can't hear any hiss or anything. And you can only hear the noise when the volume is turned way up and there's no music. So far all intents and purposes, there's really no distortion noise or hiss. The product works. Now I can keep my phone plugged into the charger and listen to music/audiobooks/podcasts while I drive.The cable is high-quality and works great. Thanks!

I use this to connect Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z506 to my TV. The standard cord allowed too much interference and therefore cut out and had too much static. On top of that it was too short to allow my to position the speakers how I wanted.This cord, however, is very well insulated and I haven't had any interference at all from the other cords behind my TV. The length allows my to position the speakers anywhere on my TV stand without having to compromise. So, I highly recommend this cord to anyone wanting an affordable and functional cord for whatever reasons they may have.

I hate listening to the radio so I got this to listen to my phone through AUX in my car. I love it! It works great, I haven't had any problems with sound. I have used my iPhone, iPad, and Mac computer to play through the car speakers and it worked on all those wonderfully. No static or complaints. Would order again, especially for the length and cost.More than enough length, I have had friends plug in their phone and be in the back seat and not have to reach at all and still be on their phone.

A cable had gone bad between the transmitter on a pair of Sennheiser headphones and the base transmitter. This cable was the perfect length and resolved the problem. This cable will not have any activity to it, meaning that it won't be plugged in and then unplugged, so durability should be good.The ends of the cable are plastic with a screw-on/off cover, which is not my favorite. Nonetheless, it fixed the problem and the sound quality is excellent. For the price, it's hard to beat.
