Great surge protector
Mine was easy to install since it was a direct replacement for an older unit.

Does what it's intended for.
Protects from electrical surges and preforms well for our needs.

Saved our bacon
This prevented us from plugging into a bad campground pedestal. That could have ended our trip early and or a terrible electrical problem. Eady to install, if you're a competent person with electrical, it can be done easily.

Difficult to bend the wires at install
Arrived Defective - emailed the company and got a quick response They gave me the diagnosing voltages for the lines and if I had those voltages - the unit was defective and to return and they would replace. This item was made in TaiwanI would consider someone as a fool and not have any respect for someone who returned a defective $300 surge protector and replaced it with an identical unit.I'm trying a Progressive Industries.

Overall good value
This can be easy to install or a real headache depending on your unique situation (access). You will probably need 4 x several feet of 6 gauge wire to complete the installation. I used a wire set for an electric stove. The two minute delay on power up from a power loss is a real plus.

never worry about theft.
This is the second one of these Ive purchased. Both for the RVs weve owned. I wont use an RV without this. I never have to worry about power at the parks or theft at the power pole. These take a little mechanical ability but are very doable. HIGHLY recommend this product to all RVers.

Not happy.... Yet.
The surge guard was simple to install, if you have some basic electrical knowledge, but I still had my electrician friend install it for me just to make sure it was done right. Since it has been installed, it has been plugged in to the 50 amp RV outlet that I had installed at my house. 3 days ago I unplugged the RV to move it over, and left it unplugged for 3 days. Yesterday I am plugged it back in to find the SG had not came back on like it should. It shows that both lines have proper voltage (2green lights) and the red caution light continued to flash. The papers that came with the surge guard say to call customer service. I tried that, but of course, it is a recording instruction to go to website and fill out a form. I've done that and am currently waiting for the company to call me now. I'm extremely upset, as I had plans to depart this weekend on a trip. Now we're stuck here. As of right now, I can't recommend this product, but will update this review, if anything changes.

Good product but with a catch.
So far a good product but what they don't tell you is if you run a generator to supply power off grid you will most likley need a bonding plug for your generator. Generators don't have a ground like shore power and it will sense this and not close preventing power from getting through. Mine read open ground and reverse polarity. The bonding plug solved the problem. Ironically the plug I bought from Amazon was made by Southwire and said it was for running generators using their product. It would have been nice to know this before I went on my first trip after installing it.
