Turbot USB3.0VGA USB to VGA Adapter, External USB 3.0 Video Display Cable

Fair price. Came in exactly as stated. Plugged it in - it didn't work. Before I panicked, I tried connecting all cords and devices in different usb slots and different computers and conclusion was the item was not working. Read the notes about installation of drivers and decided to open up "My PC."Saw that the device was not installed property - so I googled the driver and found thisUSB 3.0 to VGA/HDMI Driver(FL2000)[...]Installed it - and now it works perfectly. Not happy I had to do a little extra work - but now that it's done and I feel smart about it - I'm 100% satisfied. So I attribute all the less than 5 stars as "user error," as in, it's not broken, just not installed properly. Gotta expect it on a device that is meant to be universal.

So mine didn't come with a driver so I had to hunt one down and it is available from his website (https://support.zoho.com/portal/frescologic/home) so it's actually a cheap Chinese adapter (of course). It works very well now and I really enjoy it...however...I think I installed a program that messed with the driver maybe but this totally messed up my Intel graphics chip in my computer (the solution was to uninstall the driver I downloaded, however the device is useless without the driver) it is fixed now but I'm quite concerned as to install it again...ill update once I figure it out.

Ok, after reading all the comments from other buyers, I figured it out. That is the only reason why I'm giving it 3 stars. Instructions should be included. I'm pretty good with tech and pc's. I almost sent it back. But as I mentioned, after doing my own research, installing the software from the "F" drive (pretty important), restarting my computer, etc, it worked. A few step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated and would probably result in less returns and more importantly, happier customers.**Update. The seller added install instructions to the description to aid future customers and refunded half the original cost as a thank you for my suggestion of improvement.

It didn't immediately work for me as the driver plug and play didn't work for me.I notified the company and they sent me a driver via dropbox.After I got connected and used it for a day, my computer crashed but I don't know what caused the crash.Since then I've used it for a couple weeks now without a hitch.I use Windows 10.

I use a dual-monitor setup at work. My  IOGEAR USB 2.0 External VGA Video Card GUC2015V  bit the dust. It's no longer in production and I was unwilling to pay $$$ when I paid half that when I bought it new so I went looking for an inexpensive replacement. This had great reviews and was within my budget. My computer (Windows 8.1 Pro) didn't recognize this adapter when plugged into any of the USB ports. I downloaded the driver from the vendor website and then only the 2.0 ports recognized the adapter so the resolution was 800x600 (as noted in the description). I took the adapter to a different desktop (Windows 7 Home) with USB 2.0 ports and again the adapter wasn't recognized. Not even as an unknown device. Downloaded the driver and installed. nothing. Tried a 3rd desktop (Windows 10 Home) with USB 3.0 ports and lather, rinse, repeat. Nope, still not working. So I'm returning and I'm off to find another adapter.

It is not working on windows 10. I had a windows 7 laptop that I hooked up to a 22 inch HP w 2207 with a VGA port . The new windows 10 has no VGA so I bought this adapterwhich hooked up perfectly but when I turn the monitor on it says monitor going to sleepand then it turns dark.If anyone knows what to try please let me know as I would love to have my nice22 inch monitor hooked up to my new laptop.

Didn't work. I bought this so that I could have dual screens at work. The second monitor which was plugged into this adapter did "work" however the screen was distorted and all the colors were blue-ish. I messed with the adapter and if I held it just right it would work and the screen looked normal but there was no realistic way to keep it like that so I found another adapter that works perfectly for me. This one was a waste of money unfortunately.

I was a little apprehensive when I first got the product as there was no documentation at all. (BUT) I plugged it in and it automatically loaded the needed drivers, set my computer for two monitors, and just started working. JUST LIKE PLUG AND PLAY
