This heavy-duty adhesive urethane is used on helicopter blades in the desert to prevent them from getting worn by airborne sand, so I guess it is good enough to prevent marring of heels by urban enemies: grates, car mats, and curbs. Clear and virtually invisible, Heel of Steel will prevent worn heels and save on shoe repair by keeping your shoes looking brand new. They're real heel savers! Using Heel of Steel is asy as: 1) Without removing the lining, place Heel of Steel over the high heel and use a stiff edge to mark the desired shape of the Heel of Steel. 2) Use scissors to cut that shape. 3) Remove backing and, starting from the center of the heel, press firmly outward so no air bubbles form. Do no attempt to remove once contact is made.

not sure about this
it's not really sticking to the heel of my boots. it stays on, but some of the edges come off already and far to easy at that. i thought that maybe it's the boots, but when i applied a left over piece to a pair of high heels, i got the same result.making this product in mat would be better too, because it's very shiny and so it's very obvious. however, it does a great job at protecting the heel so far. and since i haven't found anything better yet, i would buy it again.

DOESN'T STICK! THEREFORE USELESS PRODUCT.
Very difficult to work with.... they should start with a different shape to actually make it fit simply around a heel. My only saving grace is that IT DOESN'T STICK TO THE HEEL, so the "you only get once chance to get it right" isn't true. So I put it on 2 minutes ago, and it's already unsticking. I assume it's not gonna stay on at all when I wear the heels making it useless. SAD. Wasted money.

I have always needed this product.
I always nick my heels the first day I wear them. So frustrating. For this product, make sure you read the directions, so that you apply the adhesive correctly. This is great on my matte and glossy heels. It does not work for textured heels. Rocks, cracks, and grates can suck it. They can't hurt my heels now.

They were not wide enough to fit ANY of my heels so I returned them. Also the video to demonstrate the installation of their website is drastically lacking information.
