Funny Party Hats Colonial Style Tricorn Hat - Revolutionary War Deluxe Colonial Tricorn Hat

Bought this for my 11 year old son's colonial day. My son hated every thought of dressing for colonial day so this seems better than the full costume- we used short black baseball pants and a white shirt. The bib mostly looks like a baby bib, it's like a double layered doily, it isn't all fluffy- I could not stop laughing about that and my son then truly didn't want to wear it. The cuffs he refused altogether which is totally understandable- but they look just like the description picture so they are ok. The hat is the only thing he actually liked but by the end of the day one of the snaps that keeps it like a triangle broke.... so there's that. I mean, over all it's ok, but my kid mostly felt mortified wearing this.

This hat is of decent quality for play use but it is really, really big--It swamps my adult head and the kids have to hold it in place. If you were using it with a wig it might be okay. It is fairly thin felt/cardboard like material so I am not sure about its longevity with continued use but we ordered it for a one time history reenactment so it will work for our purposes.I can only review the hat however, as the "sold as a set" package came to me completely sealed with nothing but the hat and a picture of the other items that were supposed to be with it. I contacted customer service as soon as it came in, quite some time ago, but have yet to hear anything back from them. I will update if that changes.

I bought this not only for the hat but for the lacy neck piece. Unfortunately, the neck piece is not like the picture. It has two white fabric layers with lace around the edges. Pieces are the same size so you don't see both layers so it looks like a bib when on. Perhaps it can be resewn or tacked so it's salvageable, but if I wanted to make it myself, I would not have bought this. I am giving this 3 stars. The hat is good, but the neck piece isn't made like the picture and is stupid looking as it is. So overall this purchase is just "okay" even tho I like the hat.

Well made hat

I am very pleased with my hat. I feel gentlemanly at the grocery shoppe, ye olde gas station, and while relaxing on the grounds of my estate.It is a bit hard to drive in. But otherwise, I feel quite dashing.
