Easy to clean I oiled mine and wiped it dry with a paper towel before using.
Over the years I have lost all of my baking equipment. Every time I thought to bake something I would have to remember I didn't have a ROllING PIN or pastry blender. These were perfect for my needs. The ROLLING PIN is solid wood lightweight and sturdy with good quality. I have always wanted a ROLLING PIN like this one with easy-to-find storage for it. All three items are good quality the pastry blender is just the right size too. Now I can start making my own biscuits, pie shells, and tortillas again and so much more. Excellent product at an economical price. thank you for this welcomed find.

Once you have this, you'll be thinking: Why didn't I get this earlier!!
Backstory first...I purchased an item but didn't meet the minimum threshold for FREE delivery from Amazon UNLESS I purchased another item.Of the many youtube baking/cooking tutorials I watch, one of them (ChainBaker) actually advertises the products/utensils that he uses. So, I figured I'd take a look at what I could get that would help me get over the hump.I had remembered him using this wooden rolling pin and thought this MUST be expensive. The rolling pin that I used to use was a marble rolling pin - pretty nice but pricey. This however was surprisingly reasonably priced at $6.99 - so I picked it up.Now to actually using it..I was skeptical at first, thinking that this would be a cheep workaround. However, once I used it, I was impressed with how lightweight yet sturdy and consistent it was in distributing even pressure to my dough. And the debut was with one of my stickiest wettest dough - I made a mistake along the way and didn't develop enough gluten : (Nonetheless, using some flour on the pin. And applying some to the dough, it worked like a charm! I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least : )Since then, it has helped me speed up the process of getting my dough (enriched bread dough btw) to the next step. This feels great in my hands. It applies even pressure. And the weight is so negligible that it can be almost therapeutic lolCleanup is also very easy. I wash it like my wooden flour board. I take a sponge thats damp but soapy and wash it away from running water. And after words, rinse quickly/briefly the water to remove any dough remnants - which is rare. Also, I dampen a piece of paper towel with oil and rub it into the wood. This is what I've done for my wooden flour board - that is decades old. Wood NEEDS oil - as it helps it from cracking over time. This is no different, in that regards. So wrapping things up...Even though I hadn't considered getting it before Amazon's $25 threshold, I can't see myself NOT using it as a STAPLE of my bread preparation. It just fits into what I need so seamlessly. It's lightweight. Cleans easily. And does the job just as good as any rolling pin, I've used before - including that marble rolling pin. Overall, pleasantly surprised and grateful of incorporating this into my bread baking equipment. So if you're on the fence about trying a wooden rolling pin, I'd say this one is definitely worth giving a try!

Good value for price!
Easy to use. This is the first time I’ve used a solid barrel roller. I thought it would be difficult to get used to compared to the rollers with handles but this one actually rolls very easily and is just as easy to use. I like the measuring scale an the side. Smooth finish but mine had one streak that feels rough and without the smooth finish. May return for an exchange as it seems to be a defect. Otherwise good value for the price.

Easy to use
Only get this roller if you know what you want. I wanted something small and thin so it was easier to put away and this gets the job done.

Nice basic baking rolling pin - does the job.
A little practice and the rolling pin works great - not like the one with handles, so takes a little practice. Good size for grip and roll. Would recommend as a basic kitchen staple, nothing fancy, pretty straightforward application/use.

It’s a beater.
They call this a rolling pin, but I call it a beater. I use it to pound chicken, and it works perfectly. It also comes in handy to raise in the air and threaten my husband and son to stay out of my kitchen – I’m trying to work here!

Great! But not 35mm (actually 30mm)
OK so this is a nice rolling pin, but I really needed it to be 35 mm as it was stated. It is 30 mm. Most people won’t care and it would normally be fine but it’s fitting in a particular space. Very good deal though.
