Hurmor, poignant, adventure, love and yes wonderful sex!
To be honest when I read the first book "Tink's Neverland" I was disappointed and only rated it three stars. Like a lot of readers I felt as if the story was incomplete and was hoping she would tie up all the questions in this book. Ms. Smith did that and more. She introduced us to new characters that in themselves can be spin off series. She also expanded on intros into the Bell family and I enjoyed the humor, openness and love between them all. Some readers will grade this low because of some of the comments that have been repeated in the book by different characters, my answer to them. Try writing a book yourself and get it published by yourself. It's hard work and an author puts a lot of themselves in their work. They look at it as their child and knowing from experience it hurts when readers give critical reviews because for the most part while they say they liked the book they rate the author low due to grammatical errors. Every book has them, even the ones released by large publishing firms. Self publishers don't have the luxury of a team of editors, agents, cover designers or the publisher advertising their work.I personally enjoyed this story so much that I started reading it around four in the afternoon and only put the book down when I had to run errands for the home. The book is both humorous and sensitive as it deals with some of the real issues that plague our society. Hannah is both strong yet vulnerable. She resists love yet desperately needs it. Borj is strong, driven, protective and like all men he will make mistakes. However he is not afraid to admit when he is wrong and realizes like his brother he has much to learn about the human women. Their love will be tested several times but like every good love story there is a happy ending. If you want to enjoy a good love story that will both tug at your heart and make you laugh buy this book. I would suggest you purchase the first in the series but it is not necessary. This book could be a stand alone. I gave the book five stars because I loved the book, I can overlook grammatical errors because she took me away for a day into her world and made me believe.

A Unique Second Story in a Series
Hannah’s Warrior is SE Smith’s second book in the Cosmos’ Gateway Series. SE Smith continues to develop the larger series issues as well as telling a unique story with this novel. The main characters played small secondary roles in Tink’s Neverland, the first book of this series, and it is enjoyable to learn more about these characters. I enjoy that the main characters are unique individuals and very different from the hero & heroine in the first book. The Cosmos Gateway series is in the Science Fiction Romance genre, with the series settings occurring in both the modern world (mostly Northeastern USA and Africa) and a futuristic alien world that is very patriarchal. This book can be read as a stand-alone, however it does assume you've read the previous book in the series; because of this assumption, the author briefly reminds the reader of some key world point but doesn't spend a lot of time re-teaching the reader about the larger world rules. I first purchased this book as an e-book in August of 2012 and have since acquired it in paperback and re-read it several times in both formats.I really like the heroine in this series; she is flawed, very relatable and has dealt with some major life struggles that make her have a hard time trusting. Yet, she comes from a strong, tight family and has seen that both family love and romantic love are real from her own family’s experiences; this allows her to open to the idea of love, if very cynical that it will ever happen to her. Hannah is the practical one in a family of eccentrics and because of that her inner dialogue can be very witty and yet deeply revealing of her inner struggles to fit into the world around her at the same time; an example is when her parents first meet her alien mate, Borj, “Hannah started at her mother’s voice. She closed her eyes briefly with a sinking feeling. Was she the only one blessed with two parents who would think meeting an alien was not only a seemingly everyday occurrence but totally cool that said alien was showing possessive tendencies over their daughter?”Hannah’s Warrior is a very enjoyable Sci-Fi Romance that continues to develop a series I love rereading again and again. Even with multiple re-reads I enjoy the humor, family dynamics and clash of cultures that this second installment of the Cosmos’ Gateway series provides.

Excellent Series and Funny!
I've already read the first book of this series and I loved it but Hannah's Warrior is fantastic. Ms. Smith handles Hannah's trust concerns well and Borj is an endearing warrior. The world building is great and I love all the Sci-Fi touches. It's so easy to travel without all the talk about worm-holes, hyperspeed and light years, it's a great premise. There is one section that may disturb some readers, it involves Hannah's capture by rogue warriors but it's not as bad as it could get.The funny parts reminded me of why Star Trek had a prime objective - don't interfere with the natives, unfortunately the Bell family, apparently doesn't believe in that, even though Dad is a successful Sci-Fi author.I can hardly wait for the next installment! There continue to be some grammatical errors and typos but there is a tremendous improvement from previous books. Borj's world will never be the same!

I have LL MS. Smith's books . Love them all !
I have every book she has written and absolutely love them all . Ms Smith's book are full of humor ( and I mean laughing out- loud humor ) and plots well thought out , characters full of personality and world's one wishes really existed . My favorite books are her Alien Series like the " Dragons of Valdier" , the " Lords of Kassis" , "Sarafin Warriors " and " Cosmo's Gateway" to name just a few . I have laughed and I have cried and I have always , always enjoyed myself while reading a S. E. Smith book !

A good second book in this series
I do think this book is one of the darkest one in the series as it deals with the themes of sexual assaults. But the author knows how to deal with it.She is able to write about difficult matters while adding funny and sweet moments.Hannah, Tink’s oldest sister, had a very traumatic experience when she was just a teenager, since she avoids at the most being around men and people in general.Borj is one of J’Tar’s brothers, Tink’s mate and he is irresistibly drawn to Hannah, even if he is well aware she is hiding some dark secrets.Together they are great, each one making the other whole.Another hit in this series.

Great series - wonderful addition to the overall story. Wonderful characters.
A very worthy addition to a terrific series. A little darker than the first book. Made me cry. Also made me laugh - just not as often as the first one. Great rendition of the different characters that make up the family this is centred on. Complex people with complex issues to deal with. Some seriously strong willed & strong minded women paired with some wonderfully alpha/protective males from a culture lacking in females. Each story could probably be read on it's own - but the series all together is far too much fun to miss any.

Livro muito bom, principalmente para quem gosta de romances sobrenaturais, com alienígenas, e ficção científica. Ah, e mocinhos possessivos, que adoram dizer "minha"!

ahhhhh
I found this author by accident, my current bank account might regret my find, but i totally don't. i'm going to give a broad review here. as i'm going to add this review to every book of S E Smith i have ever bought, I've got them all now. every book of hers i'm assuming here that S E Smith is a woman (it could be a man!) i read the dragon lords books first and went on from there, i'm only just getting around to putting up a review and because of the amount i books i'm just beginning to realize i had just bought, i don't have the time to write individual ones, i'm not a writer i'm a reader. lolthe fact that i preceded to spend the amount of money i spent on to buy all of her books, should tell you what i think of her/his writing. i just wish i had them all to read again for the first time. :)
