TRUE REVIEW: Uncompensated and actual user.The product itself is beautiful! This is definitely a 5-star product and if money is no issue, I would highly recommend that you get this. I tested this on a 2021 Honda Odyssey and the van can't see the FOB even with the lid open and next to the sensor. The quality and craftsmanship is outstanding - solid! With a velvet internal material, the feel is very nice and it slips comfortably in a pant pocket; albeit, a little bit big... but then girls may take a second glance at you... = )So why only 4-stars? Cumulatively, here's what you need to be aware of:1. I rate products using a Cost-to-Value measurement and at $40, it's pricey for what you get. At $35 I would have given it a 5-star rating and advise everyone to forget about the competition.2. The case is way too tall for our FOB (wish it was at-least 1/2" shorter). I'm guessing this is to allow for much larger FOB's. I fixed this by placing plastic sponge at the base and the cap of the unit. This eliminated the jiggling of the FOB when placed in the container.3. The cap fits so tightly on to the base unit that it creates a (too) strong vacuum, making it difficult to open and close the container. Good luck when you are holding other stuff in your hands. I tried by using some silicone and it helped a little.4. Related to item #3 above, opening and closing the cover creates scratches to the parts where the cover rubs against the base unit. This takes away from the unit's initial pristine look. But then, you don't see it when the cover is closed.5. Although not as beautiful, there are cheaper alternatives that are just as effective. I purchased this for my wife's car.She had no idea what it was for, but due to the packaging, she was already opening it before I finished handing it to her. I now owe her some jewelry.She likes the feel of the Alpha Shield V2 in her hand, but doesn't want to use it due to the inconvenience relative to just keeping the keyfob in her purse, and also it is very hard for her to open when fully closed.At the same time, she doesn't like the reality that a 2-person team with laptop and scanner relay is working our neighborhood in the wee hours, and breaking into vehicles such as hers. She would prefer to simply have a hacker-proof wireless system, but alas...Regarding functionality of this product, I just tested it. Indeed, the car door will not unlock with the keyfob inside the Shield. In fact, it only needs to be partially closed, regardless of keyfob orientation inside, (at least that is true for her 2018 German vehicle) so not clicking it all the way closed should make it much easier to use.The $40 price tag seems high, but then again, all similar "RFID-blockers" of lesser cost are relatively much lacking in style and all have at least some reviews stating that they either don't actually work, or they stop working some months later as the blocking material apparently wears off.The Shield seems a solid piece of stylish, purpose-built hardware that actually works.So for now, 5 stars.I'll come back to take stars away, if it somehow stops functioning down the road under normal usage.Note -If possible, one improvement would be a thin internal chain to prevent the two halves from permanent separation, as I imagine it will not be too hard to drop one half under the seat. Also, if needing to dig around in a purse too long to find both pieces, then likely won't consistently secure the keyfob inside when back home.

I was looking for something to put my electronic key fob in that’s a little bit more premium than the other products out in the market and this fits the bill. When I go for a surf, I have to disable my Rav4 key fob (hold lock and double tap unlock) but I want a little more peace of mind. By putting the key fob in this Vonetti Alpha Shield V2, I have an extra fail safe. I also tried without disabling the key fob and it worked. I wasn’t able to unlock the door or start the engine with the key fob in the Alpha Shield V2. Everything about it feels premium. Definitely worth as a car accessory if you have a need for it like me.

I would describe this case as elegant in appearance.It works flawlessly. It works so well that if the fob is in the case while I am in my vehicle . . . the fob IS NOT recognized and the vehicle CANNOT be operated!Additionally, the case is constructed PERFECTLY! The two halves fit together perfectly and are machined precisely. I discovered that the easiest way to open the case is to use both hands; place one thumb and forefinger around each half and gently "pry" your thumb and forefinger against each other while gently "gripping" each half equally (difficult to describe).The case is very durable. I have owned it several months and it still appears as new.The case is also PERFECT in size and lined with a quality material. My fob still appears new!
