Excellent large format PC monitor for a great price!
What a great monitor! I was looking for a more modern replacement for my old desktop monitor that refused to light up. Wanted to consolidate two smaller monitors into one larger one.The brightness is excellent, white is the proper color and it has great contrast. I use it for multiple tasks, programming, reading blogs and watching movies. It does them all with excellent results. No flickering, no funny stuff. Just perfect picture. I'm using an Nvidia GT 620 card and it easily supports full resolution at full frame rates. When you read reviews that say the anti-aliasing is bad or that moving video is blocky, realize they are complaining about their video card and projecting it's faults onto the monitor. This monitor is fully capable of state of the art applications, every day gaming and High Definition movie use.I see previous reviews commenting on the flimsy base or that it doesn't sit level. Mine has none of those problems. It is both stable and sits perfectly level. The tip mechanism isn't hard to move, but it doesn't move by itself. Just perfect in my opinion.I can't write about the internal speakers because I have not hooked them up, but you can't expect big system sound from tiny speakers built into a monitor so if that's what you're looking for, get some real speakers. As far as this monitor being borderless, the measured distance from the edge of the display to the edge of the display area is 7/16" on both sides and the top.

Crystal clear, bright image, good value
I have a dual monitor setup attached to a Mac Mini. Since I moved into an office with big bright windows and white walls, the amount of ambient light in the room meant small text on my old AOC 24 inch monitors could be hard to read. I purchased this Acer model H276L and a more expensive ($415) ASUS PB278Q 27-Inch, which does 2560 x 1440 and uses a slightly different technology PLS. I found side by side I preferred this Acer for the detail and sharpness. The is bright. The glossy screen does have some reflective issues but overall a huge improvement over the AOC in terms of readability. I have not seen any of the bleeding around the edges that Amazon warns about IPS monitors. I like the minimalist frame design. CONS. One thing I DID like better on the ASUS was the adjustable height. The Acer has no adjustment. And the Acer has no labels for the control buttons.Note on resolution: I had considered the more expensive ASUS primarily because it handles 2560 x 1440 resolution, but the Mac Mini can only drive one monitor at that resolution (using a MiniDisplayPort to Displayport cable); the other HDMI output is limited to 1920 x1080 so I would have had two monitors running different resolutions and that does not make sense for me. Acer does have a 2560 x 1440 model the Acer K272HUL if that is what you seek.

Good value, though with noticeable pixel pitch.
I purchased 2 of these 27" displays to replace a single Samsung 244T 24" that slowly failed then died after 6 years.I went from Samsung's 1900 x 1200 to the Acer's 1920 x 1080, the 2 Acers together cost less than the single Samsung, which was rather pricey for its time.LIKES!Thin borders are great as advertised for dual displays, which is a necessity for me [Multiple spreadsheets, Graphics programs with menus on the 2nd display, 2nd display for TV or other media...My home office gets the brunt of the sun, these produce no heat. A cooler office. The Samsung could dry socks. So light you can move around with one hand.Bright enough to light the room, you can adjust this to several different modes.Glossy, thick screen protector, easy to clean, you may want to consider how you set these up in your location as they will reflect more than a matte screen.DISLIKES!I am definitely missing that extra 120 vertical rows of pixels that I'm used to at work and on the old monitor. If that's what accounts for why I'm seeing the pixel pitch on these.I can see the 1920 x 1080 pixel pitch at a 24" viewing distance, somewhat annoying if the work is fine- text heavy, but not at 30". Some clever monitor to desk arrangement will occur! This display is thin - yet the, connections project rearward from the lower third of the back panel, not down from under displays I'm used to. Unattractive and seemingly geared to wall mounting for commercial usage ie; very quick to connect and set up/knock down for exhibits.Mine is connected via DVI - an all black right angle monitor connection should be standard to look more of a quality piece when sitting on a desk. For dual display use, the included 6' DVI cable is too short - used my old 8' cable to reach from the left display to my floor mounted PC on my right.Horrible speakers - I wasn't even aware they came with them.If you do set these up edge to edge and use one monitor for viewing media, helps to have speakers that lay horizontally and fit under the monitor you use for media, otherwise a vertical speaker will obstruct the edge to edge viewing.Flimsy stand, you can position these edge to edge, but they'll never quite match up, if you're OCD about this. A reviewer on another site mentioned the same thing - these stands make the monitors lean a bit left. However, butting them up next to each other reduces shaking if your desk isn't rock solid, mine has a heavy glass top but sits on carpet. If you use graphics programs and a drawing tablet as I do, you'll be aware of display movement.Plastic molding quality is not Class A.. you can feel some roughness to the border, though visually it's fine.Really wish this had a hoop or claw foot stand to run mouse, keyboard, and drawing tablet cables through, but there are cable management solutions for this.

Eye-catching design and exceptional value
I love this monitor! It is a real eye-catcher.Pros:- The size is impressive but with the slim bezels and minimalist stand it doesn't overpower your desk.- The viewing angles are amazing, it looks the same from anywhere in my office.- Glossy screen makes the colors really pop.- Perfect set of input options: DVI, VGA, HDMI, and audio.- Includes one of each supported input cable. They look a little on the cheap side but still this is a very unexpected bonus these days.Cons:- 1440p resolution would be nice but at the price 1080p is perfectly acceptable.- No USB ports.- Requires you to find a place for the power brick. Having a power brick does make the cabling into the monitor a little nicer though.- Glossy screen may be too reflective for your office environment, so take that into consideration before buying.- Amusingly, the base of the monitor I received has a paper clip embedded into it, like it fell onto the base right before being painted on the assembly line. I'm guessing this is not very common!I bought this for under $200 and its an absolute steal at that price. Strongly considering buying another.

This is a very nice product. The picture is good
This is a very nice product. The picture is good. The only problem is, it isn't mountable. I purchased a desk mount for it and it was no good to me.
