This is a well written and executed book. Any level of embroiderer would enjoy this and easily be able to follow along. Whether you have never stitched at all or have been doing it for years there is something to learn from this book. I really enjoyed all the photos and instructions throughout the book. This is one of the best books on the market if you are interested in learning how to stitch pet portraits, or just stitch in general.

I am very excited to get started with my first pup out of this book (starting with the pug). The instructions are clear and the template will make it really easy to make this a work of art. The instructions are concise, the pictures are great, and the variety of options is fantastic for practicing and perfecting my hand at this type of embroidery before I bravely tackle my own pup (and cats). Before reading this book I never thought of doing animals. The pictures show such details, that I want to try to do it.I was looking for books on thead painting, most had NO pictures or drawings! How can you learn something from a book without pictures?The best part is how Ms Staub shows how to do eyes. Hers are awesome! Eyes are what make or break any portrait and the hardest part. The details show just how to copy the techniques. Thank you.

I've taken Michelle's Domestika course and it was great! So I bought this and it had additional embroidery tips and styles. Easy to follow and you can create awesome pet portraits by just following this one book.

This is a beautiful book. Lots of great illustrations & photos.The type/font however... Skinny, grey,small lettering that is very hard to read.All those fantastic photos & hard to read type makes no sense.Pale Grey type & small.... Seriously???!!!!If not for the photography, I'd return the book.
