Let me tell you about this piece of junk. Bought it to put in my Orion Cooker. So I had to drill a hole as it doesn't come with one. You'll need a 13/16 drill bit for it to be the right size. 3/4 is too small, 7/8 is too big to seal up. The dial spins so easily that installing it will spin the dial and get it out of calibration. The top nut is too thin to get a wrench between the lid and the themometer, so it's impossible to tighten it up. Neither of mine came with a washer.So now, I have a cooker with a 7/8 hole in the top and I'm searching hard to find a thermometer that will fit.Don't buy this junk.

This works OK it it needs a 5/8 hole to mount and the first time it rained it had water in it and still does. Though as I said it works fine it's a 2nd thermometer for my smoker so I can see how even my internal temp. is and it does the job. I have a cheaper Char-Broil as the other thermometer that been in it for two years, no water and a small hole! 😕

These work pretty good !! I have these temp guages on a recent offset smoker build, and they are fairly accurate (checked with a digital thermometer) and the temperatures were within a few degrees !! For the money these are really good !!

This thermometer is ridiculously OFF . I tested it in boiling water , you could see it on the picture - it shows 175 F, I kept it there for about 10 min, it didn't go up. Horrible.

Well after 3 years it broke....it's this good or bad? The original one didn't make a year and actually I can still see the other end so it's only half broke!

As you can see, condensation. I can't even tell you if it's accurate, haven't had a chance to test it out.The condensation in the pic is an actual IMPROVEMENT from the other day. You could only make out the colors two days ago.

I specifically wanted the yellow faced thermometer and recieved a white one. It's nice and big but not what I ordered or wanted.

This was perfect for what I needed for I made myself a homemade barrel style smoker and needed a thermometer for it .
