Jumbo Yarn Ball Winder with Easy Wind Design by Neat Knit - Holds Up to 10 Ounces and Creates Center Pull Yarn Balls

This thing is amazing. And my husband thinks it's the best money I've ever spent. Makes really nice center pull yarn balls - firm so the balls stay together but doesn't stretch the yarn too tightly. The Jumbo size is nice - it's not necessary for some yarn skeins, but essential when it's a large skein, and helpful when it's a highly textured/fluffy yarn. Not sure why some people want detailed instructions. The only thing you have to do is put the longer 'rod' on to hold the yarn, and that's self explanatory. It took me less time to put this 'together', set it up along with my new yarn umbrella, and wind several balls of yarn then it would have to wind a single ball of yarn by hand. And now that I know how it all works, it takes just a moment to set it up and start winding. Now I happily wind away. It's soooooo cool! Maybe not quite a miracle, but close. My husband loves it because he doesn't have to hold the yarn any more.

The main reason that I didn't give it a higher rating was that there was NO INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL! It was all thrown in a box in pieces and you have to figure out how to set it up and use it on your own. If it wasn't for the photos here, I wouldn't know how to set it up. I like that it is all made of metal. After several failed attempts of winding it wrong, I finally got it to work but the rod kept on falling off. I guess I didn't tighten it enough.

This Yarn Ball Winder is worth every penny. It's made of heavy steel and just feels like it would last forever. My original winder was slightly defective and the customer service was outstanding. They sent a new winder and were very professional and friendly. I had a plastic ball winder that did not hold up and was difficult to use. This ball winder works like a dream. I would highly recommend.

It's a very sturdy piece of equipment with mostlyrics metal parts. The only thing I don'the like is that the nut holding the yarn support arm loosens as it'stands used, so I have to keep tightening it. Otherwise is very good, and I 'mentioned pretty happy with my purchase. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for one. Great value for the money.

Plastic pieces of crap are plastic pieces of crap. Buy this. It's amazingly sturdy and winds your balls like there's no tomorrow.
