I have a plastic, hard-sided suitcase that was overall in excellent shape and was only about 5 years old, was used maybe 10 times, and the plastic strap/hinge holding the two suitcase halves together was starting to break. The suitcase doesn't have a traditional hinge, just a plastic piece that flexes when the suitcase opens. The rest of the suitcase was perfect inside and out, just the flexible hinge part was starting to break, so it was a shame to throw out an otherwise perfect suitcase just for that!I bought this super strong, extra wide Gorilla Glue black tape and put 3 pieces of tape over the broken piece, all the same length, one on top of the other, to make it triple thick so it would have some durability and strength as the sides of the suitcase are pretty heavy when it's full and I didn't want the tape to tear. It really sticks strongly to the plastic suitcase and seems like it's going to hold up well, although time will tell if that's the case, but it seems like it's sticking on very well.The adhesive on this tape is really strong, it's difficult to pull a piece off the roll, and if it accidentally folds over and sticks to itself, that piece of tape is ruined! There's no getting it un-stuck from itself, the adhesive is just that strong and super sticky.I'm hoping it fixes the suitcase for another several years!

Amazing!! Had a huge crack in our garbage can lid that was driving me nuts. Wanted to try and fix it instead of having it replaced. Worked like a charm! Has been through rain and snow, super waterproof. It is STICKY!! It’s held up through the winter months, now we will see how it handles the heat of the summer.

This tape is extremely tough, thick and perfect for weatherproofing tasks such as wrapping pipe insulation. This is the WIDE version not the normal one. The adhesive is so strong that it seriously feels like it may rip off your fingerprints. I doubt I’ll ever use anything else after using this stuff.

I've been using Gorilla tape for years to mend any number of things. This summer (2024) I bought the extra wide tape (2.88 inch) but ran into a little problem. As I would unwind the tape before cutting, it would often split vertically into a narrower strip. It didn't make it unusable, because I would cut the broken piece off, but it did cause me to waste some tape.

As others have noted, this tape is super sticky. This is the technique I've arrived at, via trial and error, to extract a piece from the roll.1. Unroll the desired length2. Hold the tape with the non-stick side facing AWAY from you3.Lengths are easily torn off, no scissors or knife needed, if you tear the non-sticky side AWAY from you4. You are holding the roll in your other hand5. With a minor bit of agility, you can turn under a small piece of the outer side of the roll, so it faces inward-like dog-earing a page in a book. You only need a small piece. It creates a tab to pull on when you're ready to take another length from the roll.I realize this would have benefitted from a video but that wasn't possible. I've done this dozens of times. I first thought I had to cut the tape but got tired of how annoying that was so began experimenting.This is an excellent product. I'm ordering more.

If you own an RV should should always travel with this tape. I have used this stuff to emergency tape the underside of a RV, to secure broken awnings, anything loose that requires a secure touch.When taking anything down just make sure you want it taped for awhile since it adheres better than any other tape I have used. Owning my own emergency RV repair biz I don't go anywhere without it!
