I have a football obsessed ten year old, so when the opportunity to review "Play Like Your Football Heroes" can up on Netgalley, I just knew he would love it and he did!It's a book filled to the brim with eye catching graphics, profiles of famous foodballers and tips and techniques on how to up your football game. It's set out in four sections; train smart, think smart, live smart and play smart, with a wealth of information, delivered in an engaging way.I appreciated that both male and female footballers were profiled. I was impressed that my son would read the book and then immediately head out to the garden to try out the tips in the book for himself. It's fantastic that the book encourages fresh air and exercise and healthy living.The best person to review the book was my son who said:"What I liked? I am now a better attacker because I tried different positions after reading the book. This book is AMAZING, it is so fun to read and also I learnt a lot about other players. What I disliked? NOTHING!"

Play like your Football Heroes is a book for every budding footballer. It is filled to the brim with tips, knowledge, information and graphics. Plus, it features some top footballers, both male and female.The book is split into sections - Train Smart, Think Smart, Live Smart and Play Smart. At the back there is even a debrief and a quiz.The book is told in a fun manner and spoken directly to children at their level so that they understand and can comprehend the information.This would make a fabulous present for that budding footballer and it might help them gain valuable insight into playing at the top level, what it takes and the skills needed.*I received a free copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed

This book includes great tips and tricks from a range of footballers; male and female, on how to improve your skills. It's got loads of ideas on how to improve your confidence and practical advice and activities. Perfect for any aspiring footballers from about 7 or older. I received this book as a review copy from Walker publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and I will share it as part of my PE lessons at school (I teach).Fantastic ideas and anecdotes.

Stories from male and female footballers, lots of advice, tips, ways to improve your skills. A must read for all footy players and fans. This book was provided to me free of charge to review.

This book is amazing! Some fantastic stories and playing tips in there, and not just football related either. It'll help your kid grow in so many different ways. Would highly recommend.

I think if you have children who are crazy about football and who are pretty familiar with some of the most influential players then they will just love this book!It’s filled with tips and tricks to improve your football skills, from attack, goal and defence, but also considers different ways to engage children to keep reading the book.There are lots of graphics throughout, and the narrative is quite personal so it does feel as though it was written specifically for you - the football obsessed child, that is.I also appreciated that there were nods to both male and female players, and that there were tips about what being a hero really looks like (I.e measuring it against yourself, not becoming overly competitive or self deprecating about failures or poor performance).Great for any football fan.ARC provided from the publishers in exchange for an honest review.
