Charcoal Face Scrub

I’m a big fan of LilyAna products. I have been using the Vitamin C serum for a few years and have tried all the other products. Not everything they produce works great for me specifically, but all of their products are super nice and good quality for the price. I immediately purchased the charcoal scrub when I saw it and am so happy I did. It has a smell, I guess like charcoal, I’m not sure but it isn’t bad smelling, but doesn’t stay in your skin so it’s not an issue if you don’t like the smell when scrubbing your face, since it doesn’t stick in your skin. It feels amazing. The scrub is not smooth, it feels like it’s scrubbing away all the dead skin. I like to use a face brush but have also used my hands and don’t think it makes a difference with end results, so for me the brush is just preference. Recently, I have had a ton of medical issues and have taken a lot of medications, so my skin has taken a hut. From breakouts, dry patches, oily patches and just looking dull. The scrub Nicky helped with the dull look, smoothed the dry patches and I do think it helped with the breakouts. I noticed a difference after using it a few times and have not broken out like I was before. It was not harsh and did not irritate my skin at all. I really like this scrub and will add it to my routine and would recommend trying it out to any skin type, as I had a little bit of all of the skin types happening when I first tried it.

I have only used this once. I like how fine it is and it rinses off easily. Will update when I’ve used it more!

This face scrub smells great & feels good on the skin.

There was a good amount of product in the jar and the price is really fair for 3 honest ounces of this product. It was delivered with a minimum of plastic, which is very important to me. The scrub itself has a nice lavender/charcoal/woody scent, not overpowering, not lingering and not fancy, just soft, clean and nice. I could really feel it smoothing out my skin (on my face AND my fingertips!) and when I checked the label to see what the super-fine particles are made from, I saw no plastics, just pumice and activated charcoal. That's a huge plus! Afterward my skin was smooth, fresh and well primed for the serum and moisturizer I put on after cleansing. Today is the day after I first tried it an it does seem that it has already reduced the fine lines enough to be noticeable. Beyond my 57 year old skin that's starting to show signs of aging I have a couple of patches of those tiny bumps that mean the pores are clogged, even though they're neither red and swollen nor blackheads, and I'm hoping that with continued use these will eventually disappear. Overall I'm very pleased with this product and would buy it again.

The first thing I noticed when opening the jar was the scent...and it was NOT a good scent. This scrub smells like Urea which is an ingredient in some foot exfoliators I have used but in reviewing the ingredients Urea is not listed. The smell is harsh and pungent but despite that I still tried it. It has a fine pumice in so it wasn't to abrasive or irritating on my face. It does leave my skin soft after using it but I wouldn't say it is moisturizing or hydrating. I have tried it a couple of different ways, applying it with a circular motion and then rinsing and I have applied it using a circular motion and then letting it dry like a face mask and then rinsing, it didn't moisturize with either method. It is a nice scrub since it isn't to abrasive but not worth the price for the amount of product in the jar and the smell is very unpleasant.

Love this!! I added this to my morning and night routine with a scrubber. My skin feels also soft on my face!

I'm seeing a ton of bad reviews about the smell: it literally just smells like tea tree oil. I can't tell you how many products claim that they have teatree oil, only to not smell anything resembling it. The scent, to me, is proof of the simple effective ingredients it claims to contain. It's earthy, predominantly teatree scented, and you can smell a hint of the lavender as well. This face scrub is so so so good- it is ultra fine abrasion, which is enough to do daily while still feeling very fresh, bright, and clean after. It is not particularly moisturizing, but I didn't buy it for its moisturizing abilities. It is meant to calm down angry skin ( teatree/ lavender/ charcoal) and slough off dead skin cells. It 100% does that. I'm a fan for life!
