Good Bang for Your Buck for Peloton!
My expectations were guarded as the reviews for this product were a bit all over the place. I wanted to get this to connect to my Peloton to get the 'strive score'. It connect immediately and super easily, also connected easily to the peloton app on my phone for non bike workouts. It is very accurate for heart rate, I compared it to my fit bit watch and it's spot on- if not seems to be more accurate to the level of activity I'm doing. I charge it once a week but I think it could go much longer than that. Be warned that any band like this takes some getting used to (comfort-wise) as bands like this work best if they are tight so the sensor stays in the same location. I do think the quality of the band is fine, probably similar elastic to any band like this. I had zero issues with this product, it was well worth it for the affordable price!

Accurate and comfortable
This works great for me (light skinned white male with a light tan) wearing it on my upper forearm while running. It never peaks or drops when it shouldn't and it picks up my heart rate change on intervals without delay (ramping up and download). Also had no issues connecting to either my Coros Pace 2 or Samsung Watch 4. I've compared against similar (same course and effort but at different times) runs with my Hammerhead chest strap and the graphs look the same (max, uphills, ..) The strap is great, it is a bit stretchy so I don't have to have it tight to be secure. For those that care where it's made, I went with the Scosche because it's not made in China (it is made in the Philippines).

Fantastic product for HR info
This is used on a regular basis with either weekend runs or on the bike. It works fine with either the apple watch or the Wahoo app. Seldomly does not read and have to restart the bluetooth or restart the armband

It just doesn't work
Fool me twice, shame on me.... and that's what happened. I had a bad experience with the first-generation Sosche, and in fact gave mine away to a casual exercise friend. I guess I forgot that when, still eager to find an alternative to chest-strap monitors, I bought the 2.0. Surely they would address all the problems from the first gen when issuing 2.0, I thought! I was wrong. The Sosche monitor has performance issues which make it worthless: random dropouts and wildly inaccurate swings. I have tried it in several activities: rowing erg, standup paddling, road biking, indoor biking. In all of them, the Sosche: -- cuts out suddenly, with no environmental reasons for it to do so; -- suddenly starts reporting crazy high rates, and then overcorrects on a crazy downswing. I compared it with my Garmin chest strap and it's true, the Sosche results are way off. I wear it per instructions and have no skin issues that would create problems. The accuracy and performance are well below those of my Garmin Fenix watch (at least Garmin makes it clear to expect limits to the performance of their optical device). See the image showing Sosche readings: the program was 1 hour at steady 122-132 bpm, on a Concept II erg). No changes to position, environment, etc. Look how frequently the Sosche cuts out; and see how it runs way up above the actual heart rate, and then cuts out and/or swings low. Here is what the Sosche DOES do for my training: -- heart rates are higher, due to anger and frustration at the unit cutting off; -- times are slower, due to time spent fiddling with the device to get it to restart; -- data is useless for training records and analysis as the accuracy is terrible. The good? Nice design; fairly comfortable; good battery; simple ANT+ connections. More bad? A proprietary charger... come on manufacturers, use a "standard" USB-C please. Who is this good for? A chest-strap averse person with little more than a casual interest in the general vicinity of their heart rate. I cannot even give this one away in good faith. Just a waste.

works great
I needed a heart sensor for my virtual rides - for my regular rides outside i use a Garmin Fenix watch for tracking but it is a pain in the but to link it to my tablet for virtual rides in MyWhoosh so i wanted to get a standloane sensor. I first looked at chest straps but they are more expensive and more finicky to work with so I gave the Rhythm 2 armband a shot. The heart rate is just as accurate(or better) as my $600 watch and it is plug and play - just turn it on and search for a heart sensor in the MyWhoosh app - it pops up in a second or two. The same should be true for other virtual ride apps(Rouvy, Zwift, etc)

My very last HR sensor
I really love this product because it has solved the reliability issues I've been having with wrist-based watches. I was wearing two of them simultaneously (Garmina Forerunner 235 and Samsung Galaxy Fit2) during my runs, and I could observe the big differences; sometimes/days on, sometimes/days off probably due to movement or bad positioning due to tightness. The only agreement between them was when I was stationary. This product (btw, this review is for the second generation, Scosche Rhythm 2+ with the extended battery life), has been giving me readings consistent with my running, and the other products when stationary. I never liked chest straps, so this is just perfect for me being lightweight, practical, having excellent connectivity and battery life. The only issue I had was adjusting it to my upper arm; I just slide it up with the band closed, but it may feel a bit tight, and finer adjustment after you put it on is not possible. Still, once you've got a good fit, you're set. I haven't yet tested the stated 24h battery life, but overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

For now I give 4 stars because I have no long term experience with it. I had a Polar H10 chest strap where I constantly had to change battery and it lost its water tightness. This is a plus with this product. It’s rechargeable although holds only for 24h but I don’t have to constantly buy batteries and therefore it remains watertight. Having it on the arm is also more comfortable than wearing a chest strap. Furthermore when getting dressed with cycling bibs and jersey it’s easy to put it on after. With a chest strap you have to get undressed again in case you forgot. In case of itch you can reach it and scratch or reposition. Not so with a chest strap. Also there are multiple positions to wear it. The price is good too.

I wanted to be able to take full control the amount of time I'd spend in heart rate Zone 2 on my indoor cycle trainer, so I needed an accurate (and comfortable) heart rate monitor. I've owned chest-mounted band HRMs, a couple of Fitbit wrist-worn devices and an Apple Watch, but none of these would send data to Rouvy (the cycling app). I've compared the Rhythm+2.0's heart rate readings to my Apple Watch Ultra and they're identical, and with the Rhythm+2.0's strap fully extended it fits so comfortably around the tricep area of my arm, it's unnoticable. There's a single "button" on the Rhythm+2.0, and pairing couldn't be easier, press and hold the surface button until the LED flashes blue/red, it's in pairing mode. My iPad found the Rhythm+2.0 first time, and Rouvy included it as a sensor. To power down or up, just press the button which is part of the rubberised logo on the Rhythm+2.0, and it's ready to go. The Rhythm+2.0's elasticated strap is super-easy to remove for washing or drying, but super secure when wearing. The supplied USB charging clip-in dock comes with a decently long cable so that it's easy to recharge after use. This is a great product, really well thought out.
