Sustainable Seas, Solid Albacore Tuna in Water, No Salt Added, 4.1 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Bought this for our cat with early stage kidney disease. He only eats special kidney diet canned prescription cat food. He hasn't been finishing his meals, so our Vet said to buy this tuna in water without salt. It's made for human consumption, but because it is100% tuna and water, no additives it's safe to give our cat. It is healthy and won't harm his kidneys. When our cat doesn't want to finish his prescription cat food I add 1/4 can of this tuna packed in water plus a little extra water to the prescription cat food left in his bowl. It works!!! He eats all of his prescription cat food now. Adding this wonderful tuna to his food has stopped the progression of his kidney disease. Our cat is 14 years old and back to full energy, playfulness, and mischief. I recommend people enjoy this wonderful tuna, and add a little to their cat's diet. Okay, now I want a tuna sandwich.

I've ordered this tuna twice now and initially thought it was caught and processed in Northern California but this last box reads "packaged in Vietnam for..." I'm reluctant to order again as the fishing regulations there are not what I expected with the idea of pole/troll caught albacore.

Bought this because one reader said the quality was so good, also my nutrionalist recommended trolled or poled caught. This is so good I can eat this plain with a drop of anything else. Not a big fish person so this is truly amazing!

Bought this for my husband. He says it tastes better than the brands you find in the supermarket.

good flavor

Being on a low-no sodium diet has its challenges. This tuna fits right in and has a good, fresh taste.

This is hard to find in your neighborhood store but the only tuna (wild, pole caught) I will eat. A little pricey...if you can find it locally it will be less costly.

Delicious and nice to know it is sustainably caught. Pricey but worth it overall.
