I always find snails in my automated fish feeder and used this to deter them. Simple copper tape previously didn’t work but this has done the trick when wrapped around the fish feeder supporting beam. Fabulous!

When I first opened the package I noticed it was wrapped up, and the mesh could also be cut into rings like a long sleeve or slid directly over small pots or plants.My garden had a bad slug problem, but we are also next to a large park full of wildlife so I don’t want to use anything toxic that could harm other animals eating the slugs. I thought copper mesh could the solution I was looking for.I used this two ways, first I wrapped it around the rim of pots although struggled to securely attach it and it has slid off in bad weather. I would recommend garden tape if you do it this way. As it stretched the shape also morphs making it hard to adjust when needed.The next thing I did with it was cut it into strips then puff them out so they were a hollow ring (like a mesh pipe) and places them over my growing carrot tops. I’m not sure if any of these methods are right but had a go.I would buy it again and get a longer reel, but I will need to marry it up with other methods to deter the slugs. In all a good enough product but wasn’t the fix all I likely thought it would be so would definitely recommend as an extra measure as it definitely reduced the slugs and snails when securely put around.Pros- easy to cut- affordable- none toxic- first defence against crittersCons- awkward to install for my desired use- moves around if not pulled tight- other solutions likely needed along side it’s use

The product is a lovely delicate mesh like construction. Lightweight and easy to cut with scissors. It looks attractive on the pots too. So both functional and decorative. I have started by practicing with a couple of pots but next spring I will use it to cover all my outdoor pots.

The copper wire worked really well and not seen any snails on my petunias since. I had a long trough so put it all the way round, easy to use.

Falls off sticking is not good

I used to use copper tape but this copper mesh is so much better you can cut it to lengths if you wish or scrunch it up and put it on the soil round you plants as I did with my hosta the slugs love hostas and I stopped buying them but now I have this mesh - and there is quite a lot there - I’ve bought one and tried this mesh and it works well

Waste of money
