While the posted absorbency does fall short, it's because it is a standard test to see how well the entire absorbent area holds the liquid and not a practicality of use. With that said the core does absorb really well and keeps me feeling dry. While at work I will start to feel when it's time to change as the pad starts to get used towards the rear. If you are active like me the core will break in front after getting wet but won't clump immediately, usually not too big of a problem if you can help time changes. I don't have that issue as much when not at work and just casually doing my daily thing. I have experienced very few leaks due to the leg guards, I have not experienced any defective briefs yet that leak through the material. I use these instead of pull on up style because I work outside and it's a hassle changing in a porta potty.
