Flash Lightning Hair Bleaching Kit- 30 Volume Cream Developer

This lifts dark brown to platinum blonde for a box brand it is the best box bleach kit. I find having a developer and bleach powder at home is more beneficial. But if you want to use box bleach this is by far the best one. But make sure to buy a bunch and truly saturate every strand of your hair and dont do your roots until your level 8 or 9 blonde on your mids and ends. I use this box bleach a lot! Along side bleach powder and developer for root touch ups.

It works and it works fast.

It bleaches for sure. I had about 7 layers of dye on my hair & yes, it took most of the color out. MOST. It also (per usual) made it feel super brittle, I got a trim & treated it & it’s fine. Hesitant to use the other box for a while to make sure I don’t fry it twice in a row. Pics are before & after. Also I’m not Remotely a professional so please don’t judge the spots - I didn’t get even coverage. If I hadn’t had green, green, green, blue, purple etc all on my hair I’m sure it would have done a better job.

all the items necessary came in the box with really clear and easy to understand instructions and it works decently fast. reached just about what i was going for in what felt like no time at all, though i did use foil instead of the clear cap included in the kit. it’s not a lot of bleach so if you’re set on using this and you plan on bleaching a lot of hair i’d suggest you buy more than one box. one last thing i’d like to add is it didn’t do a lot of damage to my hair. i used it twice now to bleach my bangs and to touch up my roots and my hair still feels relatively healthy, though i didn’t have any damage prior so be mindful that if your hair is already damaged this will add to that. pics: one is an image of my hair after bleaching with this product (and toning with a separate product) and second pic is my natural color for reference.

So, we bought this for my girlfriend. It was time to bleach her roots and re-dye her hair. Only this time, I was the one doing the bleaching and dying. I like helping her with her hair, but this was a level up moment for me. She sat down with one of those salon capes on, and I did the things. This was easy to mix, easy to use, and easy to figure out - even for a bald guy who formerly saw hair dye as some kind of esoteric alchemy - wizardry known only to a few and practiced in secret. It worked fast, and the directions were clear and easy to follow. The kit had everything we needed. Her hair turned out awesome, which means the product is at least somewhat idiot proof. Note to other newbies: if you aren't skilled and practiced at this hair bleaching alchemy, wear a white shirt. Or at least a not a black shirt that you want to keep. The stuff IS bleach and will bleach your clothes just as effectively as it does hair.

As I noted in the title, I am 63 years old and have a mix of medium brown hair on top and in the back, whilst having gray hair in the front and on the sides. My hair is a pixie cut, and I have used this product for two years. I usually bleach it about every 6 weeks, but sometimes that stretches to 8 or 10 weeks. Since everyone has different colored hair these days, it doesn’t really seem to matter if some brown creeps in for a while! Setting up, mixing up the powder and liquid and applying it to my hair takes about 45 minutes. Once in/on my hair, I leave it on my head for about one hour to one hour and 15 minutes. That can be very damaging for people my age who have dry hair, so a workaround is to apply Argan oil to your scalp directly before bleaching the hair to protect the scalp and allow you to leave it on longer if you have medium or darker brown hair and want to achieve a bleached blonde look. Definitely use the enclosed cap and gloves and wear an old T-shirt to apply the bleach. The other thing I’ve learned is to rinse out the bleach using very lukewarm to cool water in the shower. After rinsing it out, I first apply a very thick and emollient conditioner. Punky makes one called intrabond conditioner that works great. Then I do two washes with an equivalent mix of regular shampoo and conditioner together. I follow that up with another 3-5 minutes of the intrabond conditioner before I complete the process. No matter what you do to preserve and protect your hair, bleaching it is a terrible thing to do!! I love the look so I’m willing to accept some breakage and not worry about it. However, my hair is pretty thick so please keep that in mind. This is a great preparation for turning your hair some wonderful colors. I have turned my hair pink, purple and blue at various times using punky products. The good news is that if you are bleaching to color your hair something bright and fun with punky, you can go right ahead and do that immediately after bleaching, washing and drying it. Punky is very protective and actually will help your hair look and feel a lot better after bleaching it. I hope you find this helpful. My last tip is to buy the two boxes set of level 30 bleach because it is better value than buying them individually. Level 20 might not get you where you need to go bleach wise, and Four is just going to eat your brain. Stick with 30.
