The The calculator works nicely if you understand how to enter the information to arrive at your final result. I have to admit when I first used it it was a challenge but once I contacted the technical support team they explained everything easily so that I was up and going in no time. Nice construction calculator making my difficult job easier.

I bought a Construction Master III in 1993 when I built my first house. At the time, I was a general contractor. It's been decades since I have done construction professionally. But I have used the calculator periodically through the years for various personal construction projects.I bought the 4065 Construction Master Pro thinking there must be some substantial improvements over the last 30 years. It does have a few new features, but most of those are accessed using a combination of keystrokes which are difficult to remember.The markings for the alternate functions of the keys are very tiny and difficult to read. The manual, which is often needed to determine the keystrokes needed for a particular function, is difficult to get to. You have to pry the calculator out of its armor case to get the the manual tucked into the back.On my original calculator, the manual is tucked into a flap on the case, and is readily available for reference. So, I returned the 4065, and will continue to use my 30 year old calculator.In general though, these calculators are very useful.

In the excavation business conversions between many different units of measure are constant (cubic yards to tons, decimal feet to inches, etc.). Anytime calculations are involved (especially with fractions and conversions) errors can easily happen. The Construction Master Pro has made my life immensely easier and far more accurate. It saves me lots of time and therefore lots of money. It's worth every penny. There's a short learning curve, but then it becomes very intuitive and very easy to use. I highly recommend this calculator.

This makes construction math easy if you're a pro or DIY, tons of useful features. Calculating stairs is worth it alone. Cheaper than the app as the app is now subscription based - two years of the subscription and you'd have the physical calculator paid off. You never stop paying the subscription for the app.
