The three knives are no-nonsense affairs and they’re pleasant enough to use and work well.The cheese plane on the other hand, does not work at all! The slicing part is on virtually the same level as the rest of the flat surface, so it’s unable to take a slice off a block of cheese. I even tried to bend the slicing part lower so it can do this, but no joy. I just gave up on it.I would recommend the other three items though, so if that’s what you want, this set is still a bargain, worthy of four stars.

I bought this set because of the cheese slicer thing, someone else had one and I thought it was a good idea. However, this particular one is made in a way that does not allow it to cut cheese. The bladed part does not extend enough below the flat plane for it to have any effect on a block of cheese.The other three knives are good quality, however. Which brings the overall rating of this review up.Overall, if you want a cheese slicer: Buy a different one. Otherwise, perfectly good knives.

We got all excited as you do out came the cheese when it arrived . And first try nothing cut the cheder cheese . Then tryed the soft cheese cutters the squash things really well ... Blunt and useless. Even the cheese slicer flatend the cheese really well ..... Did not work .... All in all disepointed truly a shame ... Great presentation but did any one see if they worked before they sold them .

One of the knives doesn't work for us. Not sure of the correct name, cheese slicer perhaps (third from left in picture), does not slice the cheese as the blade was not deep enough. By the time we realised this, packaging had been thrown away so couldn’t return.
