Natural Style Viking Drinking Horn with stand - Authentic Medieval Inspired Mug (16-18 oz (XL))

I ordered two of the 16oz Natural Style Drinking Horns. When they arrived I was really wowed by the quality! The polish was great and the stands that come with it are nice, wide, and sturdy. The only problem I had with it is that despite the warning that there of course will be some variation in size, one of the horns I received was really significantly smaller than the other, about 75% the size of the larger.I shot them an email explaining that these were a wedding present for a friend of mine and that one was for him and one was for me and that people had even asked why we had gotten different size. Well, they were completely understanding and immediately offered to send another larger horn FREE of cost or shipping to me! I was floored at how accommodating they were and he and I love them. We gave the smaller one to his wife who also loves it.In short; quality product, quality service, would 100% buy from again.

I received this horn as a birthday gift. The first horn had some issues. The exterior was scratched up and appeared to be miss handled. The Second problem was it did not properly fit the stand. The stand was unable to support the horn when the horn was filled with liquid. Due to the issues mentioned I ordered a replacement. The second horn looked great .The stand was a much better fit and was able to support the horn while full. Upon first use I noticed the horn had a leak the the very end. Liquid would seep from end of the horn and would make a small puddle after some time. My girlfriend purchased some nail hardener which I applied to the exterior of the horn in the area of the leak. It is now sealed and functional. Also note this horn does have an odd odor as this is a natural horn. I have read this will dissipate after some time with use.

I gave the drinking horn as a gift and tried to get my wife to drink out of it, but when she unpacked the drinking horn, the drinking edge of the horn was split so it was not sealed correctly. Drinking out of a horn is odd enough for her, but trying to get her to drink out of a horn with the edge split (almost like a layer of the horn is peeling away on the inside), is impossible. If the drinking part of the horn was made as well as the edges of the base this horn rests in, i would have ordered more for family and friends in the future. The horn is ok for us, but not something we would be drinking out of.

When I first rec'd the drinking horn it had a very strong unpleasant smell to it. Synergy LLC explained it as the horn not being fully cured and gave me very useful instructions on how to get rid of the smell. These worked great and the drinking horn is now free of odor. They were very helpful and professional and offered to exchange it for another if I was still unsatisfied.

I bought the Viking horn for my husband for Father's Day because he loves the Viking culture. It is quite a visually stunning piece of artwork, but I wouldn't dare drink out of it. It smells terrible and seems to have a layer of gook that won't come off. Other than that, my husband loves it and has it displayed in our bedroom.

Bought this for a friend. It worked great. Smelled a bit funny but it’s also an animal body part so whatever. The problem is the friend turned out to be a piece of poo. If you’re going to give this as a gift, give it to someone that’s not going to throw away your friendship. Then you’re out a drinking horn AND a friend.

this is cool, it's exactly the size i was expecting and hoping for, nice color too. I just want to warn everyone that it does SMELL like animal. best i can describe is "wet dog" ?? which makes it hard to want to drink out of. Maybe after a while that smell goes away, not sure yet. But anyway, just a heads up!

Great purchase. Exactly what you expect, unique real horn for drinking. They smell a bit when you first get them, but that just shows how vintage they are. I rinsed mine out with soap and a little bleach and the smell went away pretty easily. I'd recommend getting a holster for it to wear around your belt loop as you cannot set them down with a drink in it, but that's a given. Overall very satisfied with the product, makes you feel like a Viking.
