I purchased this from Amazon and seller was Better World Pets LLC - the company that makes the bed. The bed is fabulous. GREAT quality and so far has not gotten "flat" and we are very pleased. I have older dog with arthritis and ACL injury and this bed has been better for him that any we have used. It also fits in crate nicely. I hope they are back in stock soon from this seller and I will be buying another one! I also wrote the company to ask a question and they replied right away from their website. Great company and best bed we have EVER bought!!UPDATE: I just took the cover off this bed to wash it.. I did not realize that it is soft vinyl on the back side of the velour top... that is AWESOME! The bed had gotten wet and nothing leaked through to the pad!! I already loved this bed and know it is the best we have EVER bought but this was a welcome surprise. It is also easy to get pad in and out of.. the end and side unzip.. at times it is hard to get pads back in (or out) and it can break the zipper. The longer we have this the better I like it.. we have had this one for several months and it still holds it's shape and works great. I also had some questions wrote the company and they got back to me within hours.. very pleased and hope they have these back in stock soon! GREAT product! I seldom ever do a review of anything and I buy a lot from Amazon but had to pass along this info.

This bed is AMAZING if you have an older dog with "bone" problems. Our dog, Otis, who will be 13 in December (a 100 pound black lab) is still a happy boy who loves his food and still loves playing with his toys. However, the poor thing has major back, neck and leg problems and can not function the way he used to. The old bed he had was soft and would slide all over the floor when he tried to get up and it was getting to the point that he could NOT get up anymore and we would have to help him. This new bed is fantastic for him! It's a firm bed, which seems to be helping with his problems and it stays in place. We have not had to help him get up once since we got it. The second we put it down he got down on it and we could tell he was so in love with it. Whenever we can't find him, there he is sleeping in his favorite new bed. Also, unlike other reviews, our bed had no smell and does not make any kind of "crinkle" noise. I highly suggest this bed if you have an older dog with orthopedic problems.

My dog is apparently more finicky with his dog bed than I thought. We purchased a waterproof dog bed and he hated it even though it was similar to this dog bed. We took it back and I purchased this instead. The bed was delivered in a timely manner and well packaged. The dog bed is HEAVY and took about 2 hours to fully air up. The lining is waterproof as is the cover. It also feels fairly durable. I got on the dog bed to see if I would be able to feel the floor through it and couldn't feel anything, including any kennel bars or the liner from the kennel he is in when unsupervised. Our GSD is approx. 110 lbs without hip or elbow issues at this time but it's good to know that this bed would be supportive should he need it.We put the dog bed on the ground and, I kid you not, he did not move for 4 hours. I've never seen him so excited about a dog bed.I would highly recommend this dog bed and company to anyone!

So lumpy my little arthritic Yorkie cannot lie on this bed. The lumps are very firm. At first she tried to snuggle in but just could not get comfortable and got right off each time. Then she finally gave up and ignores it. UPDATE: Better World folks contacted me about the bed not being satisfactory and offered to refund or replace it. I was impressed by their concern and willingness to assure that I was a satisfied customer. Definitely would buy from this company in the future.

Update:11/6/2018 - Bought two of these in 2016. Two because the first was 5*, Both of them fully expanded and provided significantly more cushioning for an "aging" dog.Bought this one for a young dog. It feels dense and probably durable but did not expand as much as the others, therefore less comfort. This one is still a pretty good bed (I think) but doesn't stack up to the others. I didn't bother shopping other brands this time. I will the next time. OK for a young dog...no longer my first choice for an "experienced" one.Original review: VERY supportive. AND cushy too. After allowing the bed to completely inflate I plopped my 215 pounds on it hip first and just said "Ahhh".My dog seemed to agree as well. We have a bed on the porch and one in the garage so that our pampered Rhodesian Ridgeback can get out of the wind without having to give up her mountain view. Well, when you have two beds…two beds wear out.My wife was concerned that a male person (me) might not have the intellectual capacity to consider all the requirements (soft, firm, waterproof, durable, BIG ENOUGH etc.) for our precious girl puppy of 95 pounds. When she (the wife) inspected it I got praise and kisses…praise from my wife…kisses from both.Well no husband is going to pass up on repeating an opportunity to be right AND get kisses.So I bought another one.

I have an 80 pound black lab/Great Dane mix - she’s a senior with achy joints. Due to her size and ailments it’s been pretty hard to find the right bed for her.She likes to sleep stretched out or on her back, so the density and shape of this bed is perfect. I love that the cover is soft, kind of like a suede, but not too fuzzy - so she won’t get too hot.She has been through 6 beds in less than a year, that she either didn’t like, weren’t large enough or that she got sick on and it ruined the filling. This bed met all our needs. Unfortunately she had some stomach issues a couple weeks after we got the bed and the covers were put to the test! I had to wash the top cover 4 times in two days and it washed beautifully. The best thing is the lining on the top cover and the cover over the filling kept the filling from get soiled. I was so impressed.This has become her favorite place to lay, even over the couch. And when she wasn’t feeling well it was the only place she wanted to be.My only wish/want is that it came in a brown or black and without the neon trim. But the bed is worth it regardless.

Our dog, a border collie, has been very active his entire life. Recently diagnosed with osteo arthritis in both hips a new bed was in order. After mulling over different options we decided on this bed and have not been disappointed. He uses it quite a lot. I think the shredded foam allows a lot more give while maintaining a good 'cushion' underneath him. I have always found memory foam slabs quite uncomfortable to lie on after a while. There are 4 gusseted compartments to keep the pieces in place. The cover is soft and silky to the touch and easily removable...in fact one of the easiest covers to take on and off that I have come across. Our boy is 51 lbs and we ordered the large, he has smaller beds, but this one allows him the room to stretch right out.

I thought this would be the perfect bed but my dog won't lie on it. He doesn't like it at all and chooses the hard, cold floor over this bed. The bed is a bit lumpy but I was hoping that would settle down with use, however, it's just sitting in the corner collecting dust. The cover is nice and it looks well made, but it's not useful to me.

My dog loves it, she slept on her new bed instead of on my bed the first night we had it. The cover is soft and easy to clean and the bed feels comfortable. I ordered size small and it was the exact measurements listed in the description. I didn’t notice any chemical smell, I saw that mentioned in other reviews. I would recommend this product.

I just received this today. Within 2-3 hours, it expanded to its full thickness of 5 inches. But I'm wondering why the mattress case is only 3.5 inches tall. I'm guessing that once the dog uses it, it flattens out a lot so the case only needs to be 3.5 inches tall. It looks like a pretty good mattress though. But I do find it's expensive.
