Best on the market no doubt
Im a security geek for office, home and business and I know all the tricks. This is the most usefull, reliable, and easy to use of them all. The motion or no motion option if a whole new demsion usefull in homecare, alzheimers, aging parents, and endless options. Quality constructed product that does things no other sensors do. It can even call your phone or text based on terms you set. The web interface is beautiful and easy to use. I dumped all other sensors to go the best with proteus. GOOD WORK Proteus.

Does its job well
I had to monitor a certain area that I have a camera on. And instead of searching through hours of video for who was there... I just get the text or email.. and then I search that minute for who passed through the sensor area. You can adjust the sensitivity and the time of motion so you can customize the alert.

COULD BE AWESOME!
What a great concept for this product! While it delivers fairly well if you're inside, there are some issues. Biggest one is that it seems to intermittently get “stuck” on an activated setting—indicated by a flashing amber light. The fix is to unplug it and then plug it back in. Cool idea---except that it hasn’t been reliably operative over time!Next big downgrade involves the settings. I’m learning after a couple weeks how to get this to do what SHOULD be intuitive. There are ZERO instructions that come with this—so, the website SHOULD be pretty self-explanatory for setting this up, right? There’s only one page of “Motion Sensor Settings.” Well—not so fast. “Resend Alerts” : Do you want this unit to “resend” an alert? Of course you don’t. However, if you leave the default “60” minute setting, you won’t get ANY alerts after the first one for 60 minutes. Instead of “Resend Alerts”—this should say “Resume Alerts”! Sheesh! Try “1” minute instead. I had to contact support to learn this should be set to a lower number so I get subsequent alerts after the first one! Start Time/End Time. Took me two frustrating weeks to FINALLY just click the little info icon next to “End Time” and to read this carefully. Lo and behold, it says the “start time” must be less than the “end time.” REALLY???!!!! I want this active at night, so I originally had it ON starting at 7pm and ending at 6am (the little icon’s note says you have to use a 24hr clock…1900 or 0600, but when you do this, it immediately reverts to Am/Pm anyway! Guess this part of the note is obsolete now.) But wait. If you do that, the thing won’t work…and there is ZERO indication that you have put in wrong numbers! I have to configure it to be “OFF” from 0600 to 1900. Good grief! Note to web site authors: put a note next to the “Start time” to say, “Setting must be less than end time. Select motion sensor “Off” or “On” as required so times conform to this requirement.” Don’t force me to hit that hardly noticable little “info” icon next to the END time setting to learn this critical note! As is, this set up is NOT intuitive WHATSOEVER! How about a little basic programming that doesn’t even allow you to put in bad numbers? The potential for this device is an EASY 5 stars…but it’s intermittent unreliability makes it something you can’t set and leave. (How come I’m not getting any alerts??) Down to 4 stars. The website for configuring the settings is completely and unnecessarily counterintuitive. Effective communication is not that hard.I wanted this for outdoors, and they told me if shielded from the elements and not subject to extreme temps, the device should work fine. Unfortunately, I’m not going to wire the side of the house for power if I’m required to unplug and replug it in every couple days so that it works—so, I haven’t even tested it outdoors.I’ll happily spend $99 to buy and use this IF they fix the reliability issue. I’d sure love it if they would fix the settings website too. This alone would quickly boost reviews.

living alone
This is a great product for those of us who are older and live alone. I've had it for over 1.5 years and it's worked perfectly. Easy to set up and seems reliable. It could save your life should you become incapacitated.

Clean and simple design, no junk
Was looking for a simple motion detector to send me an email/txt when something is detected, that's it and this one installs super fast and easy.

Stopped working after a few months!
I bought this motion sensor to go along with a video security system in my house. It worked initially, and was convenient to jut plug it in when leaving for a weekend. Unfortunately it stopped working a couple of months after i bought it. I tried to reset it, and I tried plugging it in to both my computer and into an apple charging cube. Nothing worked.

Works well
I bought this to monitor my 80 year old mothers movements. It took about 5 minutes to set it up and test it first in my house and then again when I installed it at her place. The product is well designed and has been installed for a few months now. Iit actually triggered an alert this weekend when she didn't enter the kitchen for over 12 hours. It turned out she was OK but sleeping very late. She was using the bathroom so I need to move it there.

Worked a few weeks, then died.
It's a shame this is the only product on the market with this capability, because I'm sure it's something a lot of people could use. For the first few weeks it was great. But then it went down, so I reset my router and it started working again. Then it went down a second time and would not come back up; it could not reliably interface with my wifi for some reason. At first I thought it was a problem with my wifi or router, but I tested it on multiple computers and it works with everything except the motion sensor, so...that's $99 down the drain.Edit for 2022: I want to retract my one star review. I was eventually able to get the sensor working reliably.

Updated: Looked so good at first and gave 5*, but just not reliable or stable enough to use in UK.
I did originally post a 5 star review in January 2020. It seemed to be just what I was looking for. Set up was quite easy and their help team were prompt. As with all reviews, check the ones that are not based on 1 weeks use (like mine) but those after a period of time.In the past year, I have made over 20 messages to their team and whilst helpful, perhaps they suggest I am just not using it correctly. i have persevered and like to think I am techno competent, but so many false positives, false negatives and unit 'jamming'. I have reset the unit, reconnected to the wi fi countless times, moved the unit nearer to the wifi router and away from other electrical devices. It is simply not reliable or stable enough for the important purpose people may wish to use if for, including sending an alert to another person if no movement has been detected over s specified period of time. I will look on the market for something else. This did want the Echo Move did not do for me. It reliably sends a text/email when no movement detected in a house during a set time period. The email is free, so if you have email notifications on your mobile phone that is as good as a text. As a UK resident, the free text option did not work. The paid option is only 7p a text which is fine if you have "no movement alerts" (i.e. sending a text will be a rare exception). If you were looking for mutliple texts a day when movement IS detected, that could add a significant cost over a year. The customer help is prompt and very useful. In the UK, it came with 2 conversion plug sockets which was uneccessary. It only needs to plug into a single USB plug socket and shame they do not provide this simpler option. Set up instructions are easy to read, but for the cost, a more comprehensive manual could have explained all the impressive options better.
