Lost and Found: Finding Hope in the Detours of Life

I bought this book when I was a teenager, but here I am 10 years later wanting to read the book again and I couldn't find my original copy. Soooo...I happily purchased another copy! Pastor Sarah did an incredibly amazing job writing this book... it's so inspirational and her writing skills makes readers feel like they are a part of her journey. I love this book!! I'm not going to lose this copy LOL

Really in-depth about personal experiences. Very candid. Her love for the Lord is truly evident. Finished the book in 2 days.

Excellent book and well-written. I love that Sarah did not hold back and that she bared her soul. She owned her mistakes and eventually learned from it and it took her to her destiny. I saw a lot of myself in her writing and her life and the real healing began when she was truthfull to herself and owned it. I love how her parents were there for her but not pushy and that she knew no matter what they were her pillars. She is a beautiful young woman who grew in the Lord despite her mistakes, which we all make. Many times what we love and run after is not what God has for us. She is in a great place and I wish her many blessings along with her two children. I love me some T.D. Jakes. Goes to show us that regardless of status or how others see us we each have issues that we deal with or have dealt with. Great read. Look forward to more from her.

Interesting self aware book

I high recommend this book. I absolutely enjoyed reading it and happy that i purchased and added to my collection

I found this book to be a page turner and inspirational. I then proceeded to read some of the reviews and shame on some of you. Everyone has a right to tell their story. Ive read stories of prostitutes, criminals and so forth and how they found God in their darkness. Being a young wife with a bipolar husband that has lied cheated kicked me out wanted me back and so forth this book spoke volumes. Sometimes we put ourselves in hardships but God does bring us out. Saying she saw the the big dipper is a metaphor and if you don't get oft then read the book again but with an open heart not liking for her to tell what to do but what she did why she did comforting you to know through your storm if you just let go and let God it'll be ok. She made it through because of grace my pastor speaks about grace and if you don't understand why she says it the way she does reflect back to your Bible. Through my storm grace has kept me from my darkest hours of suicide, an abusive.husband miscarriages and so on. Things could be worse for me bit I know because of prayers and gods grace I'm still here.

This book was phenomenal words can't even express how happy I am that this book was recommended to me. I had been through some similar things that Sarah talks about in this book I spent 3 1/2 years of my college years focused on the wrong man and ended up losing myself in him. This book made me smile, laugh,and cry because it hit so close to home for me. But it helped me see that I made the right decision to leave and trust God with my life again. I left that relationship almost a year ago now and I'm happier than I have ever been in my life and I can't thank God enough for doing what he has done for me. Thank you so much Sarah for sharing your story and helping so many women like myself find their way back home.

I discovered Sarah’s ministry on Youtube quite accidentally (okay, so I know it was Gods perfect plan. I just mean I wasn’t looking for it, but praise God, that is when we receive our greatest blessings!). After listening to her testimony, I just had to know more about her. Her style is direct, sincere, vulnerable and approachable. When I heard her speak, I felt as if she were reading my heart out loud. I have found redemption, identity and grace through her God-inspired messages. The Lord has really used these messages to initiate a new season in my walk. If you are a woman who knows what it feels like to be under valued, depressed, forsaken, and forgotten, then this book and this ministry is for you. I encourage you to read this book but also tune into her bold messages of triumph, courage and bold faith. You will be blessed.

I highly recommend this book. So good. What a testimony!

Downside is only the white paper that is used for d book. It's too bright n hurts my eyes. I prefer off-white pages. Well,the book teaches a lot of lessons but probably didn't teach the writer anything. However, that's her personal life. As long as we learn something from the writer's mistakes,this book is a good read. It's interesting reading about her rollercoaster life. Teaches us valuable lessons and how God is imp in our lives. The last part was touching. However, the impact of the lessons faded away wn i found out more abt her on YouTube. Wn ur an influencer,ur every step counts and ppl hu follow u become sceptical wn news abt ur actual life is not what ur trying to teach ur readers. M sure she meant every word she had written in d book but m jz disappointed wn i learnt abt her new 'divorced' husband. Her focus stl remains the same and she hasn't learnt anything from her mistakes. Nothing has changed even tho her book must b cathartic to her. I bet writing it jz serves HER purpose. I, however,applaud her courage to pen down her life and her thoughts.No filters whatsoever. Will gv her 5 stars for that.

This book was well written. Sarah was honest and up-front about her life and allowed others to be real about what life throws at you. It was an excellent read.My favourite part in this book is the part about parenting and I quote: "Standing doesn't mean you agree, it doesn't mean you think they're right, and it certainly doesn't mean that it was what you dreamed for them. Standing only means that you're willing to partner with the and find a way out." I could not have said it better myself! I would recommend this book to all.

This book opened me to the world of Sarah Jakes. Her story spoke to me and felt every word she wrote. Truly our God is amazing and I have faith that God is working on me too
