This is a little book and it is filled with hand made paper. It is the perfect size for me. The leather cover is soft and easy to hold. And I really like the Celtic look with the Tree of life on the front and beautiful stamped design on back. It arrived on the last day today. On time. The little latch shows me when completed will be filled with sacred knowledge secrets to pass down generations. It will hold stories of life for many to enjoy. I gave this little Tree of Life to a younger member of our coven. She is so excited. It is a gift from her High Priestess and her Mom has the large book version of The Tree of Life. She is a blessing to our coven. So much enthusiasm, and wisdom to be so young. The truth is always a welcome gift to any ear. Our last meeting 3 Brown Eagles and 1 Red Tail Hawk, 2 Ravens, and a flock of Sparrows visited us. The gifts we are to one another. )O(

I love this little book! Price was reasonable and the size was as expected. Fits perfect in my pockets. The paper was nice and thick and of a very good quality. I worked at a print shop for almost 10 years so I'm very familiar with paper and weights. This book's paper is very fine for the price. It should cost more! The leather is beautiful and the interior pages are bound nicely. The leather embossing is beautiful. Even the interior side of the leather cover has been covered with a durable black material making the leather sturdy and firm. The paper is thick enough for water colors, fountain ink and charcoal. The exterior latch is also well made to keep the book closed, designed for rugged use. It's easy to close and once it's closed it remains closed. It won't just slip open. It's a thick little book perfect for poetry, small sketches and anything else you can imagine. I will definitely buy this book again in th future! Handsome, and looks beautiful on my shelves.

It is a bit small, I wanted it to function as a journal but wasn’t happy with the size.

I love this beautiful, little book! The pages are amazing. Sharpie marker won't even bleed through. It's an absolutely amazingly crafted piece. I adore it for petitions. It's a nifty little spellbook shouldnyoi use it for that. Scripting, Journaling, or just everyday writing; this little book is amazing for all of that. Please read the dimensions because I thought it was a full sized book. (my own fault bc I didn't read). However, when I received it, there was 2 Seconds of shock bc it was so small. Then, when I actually LOOKED at it and held it, ugh I co ldnt be happier! I'm ordering a few more because it is just the bees knees!

This book is really gorgeous. The detail is amazing. Hand made paper, with plenty of pages. Extra fine details like metal corners and a beautifully crafted lock. Everyone who looks at it wants one. The leather is thin, which makes the book light, which I actually enjoy. I'm not carrying something that weighs a ton in my bag. If you want something that looks mass produced, this book may not be for you. If you want a beautiful shadow book that looks medieval and hand made, this is a great book.

I ordered this Tree of Life Leather Journal as a gift for my husband, who is a Writer. He always carries a small, pocket-sized journal-so I thought this would be both practical and aesthetically pleasing and unique. I was so excited to find something small AND hand-made! But, as soon as I saw it-I was very disappointed. The leather cover was embossed with an image of the"Tree of Life' and this looked nice-not great but okay. The leather is thin and looks kind of cheap? THEN-I saw it had a dime sized dent in the front cover- in the middle--near the spine. When I opened it-I saw it had been sewn too tightly so the leather had been pulled inward--causing the dent--AND making the paper rip! Not good. More bad news- the grommets were installed incorrectly and were CROOKED--making the CLASP CROOKED-- and the whole book CROOKED. Plus, the Paper is described as "premium quality hand-made linen" What a load of rubbish! The paper is very ordinary, manufactured, low-quality paper. Nothing "hand-made" or "premium or "linen" about it at all!The ad is TOTALLY deceptive!! It showed and described the Journal as something hand-made, unique, and of at least "good" quality. That is NOT what I received! And the poorly made, poor quality MESS of a "Journal" I received is NOT something I would want to give as a "gift". I am very unhappy with this "Journal" and have contacted Amazon & requested a FULL REFUND and initiated the return process. I am Very disappointed in this RavenWood product and RavenWood itself.
