An incredible step by step guide to one of the most invisible pass techniques ever created! Full instructional DVD with Bonus tips and handlings. "The best invisible pass I've never seen, you b******" - Jerry Sadowitz - The Crimp "Many magicians perform the pass badly, clumsily or only with insane misdirection. Chris Dugdale's handling of the pass is flawless. Flaw-LESS; literally you cannot see it, even when the HD camera filming his fingers is 5 inches away during a straight on shot (at hand level NOT from above). He is someone you want to learn this sleight from, not just because he is so damned good at it, but also because he is an excellent teacher. I originally learned this move from a book and it was like trying to catch a fly in the millennium dome - it is so elusive. Using this professional DVD its more like catching a tortoise in a phone booth! Chris makes this sleight so achievable for anyone. If you THINK you do the pass well you should probably still buy this DVD!" - Daniel Alexander Running Time Approximately:

An OK quick retake on an old sleight. Content could be improved.
Chris has a very clean presentation for the pass. I wouldn't say that it is flawless, but darn close. In doing a ton of research on the pass, and watching many hours of tutorials and other magicians perform the pass, I can attest to the fact that what Chris is demonstrating on this video is nothing new. How he performs the pass, how he links it all together is, however, a fresh look at an old sleight. This DVD reminds me of another DVD called Pass With Care which utilizes a similar presentation for the sleight. It is, however, more descriptive and offers different variations on the pass.As far as the $27.00 - $32.00 price tag, its a little steep. Again, nothing new herein. The instructional part of the video, the part that actually teaches you how to perform the sleight, is only 13 minutes long - including a little talk at the end that gives you some food for thought. The other half of the video is Chris performing at several different venues - Its not instructional. I would say that $20.00 would be a more fair price for the DVD. I would also suggest this video for someone familiar with the pass vs. someone who is starting out. The instructions are fast and retakes, though there, are kept at a minimum. I wish it would contain some history on the pass, more detail on how to perform different pass variations, and the psychology of prestidigitation as it applies to the pass. These things, IMO, would have made it more worth the asking price. As a final note, my wife's comment on the video, after only minutes of playing, was that it is the most annoying video I own. IMHO, I would equate it with trying to watch a young Gilbert Gottfried perform magic with a British accent. If you like Gilbert, that may not be a bad thing.
