Anche in questo caso è un prodotto certificato Rainforest Alliance, che significa che la produzione segue standard rigorosi riguardo alla protezione dell’ambiente ed alla tutela dei lavoratori. Simpatico anche il sistema Farmer Connected, praticamente la tracciatura del caffè: basta inquadrare il QR code sulla confezione per scoprire da dove il caffè è partirò, dove è stato immagazzinato, dove è stato tostato. Ho provato ed in effetti funziona.Passando al contenuto, si tratta di un caffè 100% Arabica, che è la varietà più diffusa ed utilizzata. L’arabica è più delicata e contiene meno caffeina rispetto alla Robusta, con cui spesso si trova miscelata. In compenso è molto profumata ed aromatica.La Robusta invece è una varietà più corposa, gradita a che cerca un caffè intenso e forte. Dalla sua ha una maggiore cremosità e, come detto, un elevato contenuto di caffeina, cosa che però la rende meno adatta a chi beve parecchi caffè durante la giornata o chi è particolarmente sensibile al suo effetto.Anche l’Arabica poi può avere caratteristiche diverse in funzione dell’area di provenienza, spesso se ne trovano miscele con provenienze differenti nello stesso prodotto. Questo caffè invece è “single origin” e proviene al 100% dalla Colombia, considerata patria di uno dei migliori caffè del mondo.Aperta la confezione il caffè ha un buon profumo (seppur non intensissimo) ed i chicchi sono evidentemente ben tostati. Il livello di tostatura è piuttosto uniforme, nel senso che il colore è uniforme e non ci sono chicchi più chiari o più scuri. Non è comunque troppo intensa, il colore non è scurissimo. A differenza di altri prodotti, sulla confezione non è indicato il livello di tostatura.Io l’ho provato con una macchina automatica Saeco e devo dire che mi è piaciuto molto. La schiuma non è molto abbondante, cosa abbastanza normale per una miscela di sola Arabica, ma è comunque sufficiente ed ha un bel colore bruno, non molto scuro.Il gusto è piacevole, non fortissimo ma sufficientemente intenso. È leggermente amaro ed ha un’acidità abbastanza percepibile e persistente. Resta gradevole anche per chi come me lo prende completamente senza zucchero.L’intensità, che invece è riportata sulla confezione, è di 4 su 5, mi sembra corrispondere se si considera che si tratta di una miscela di sola arabica. Forse lo è un po’ meno se lo si confronta con una miscela Arabica e Robusta assieme. E una prima domanda sorge spontanea: perchè doppio packaging e non il singolo pacco da un kg?La risposta che mi sono dato è che, anche se a prima vista sembra illogico ed una spesa inutile, alla fine è un'idea molto intelligente visto che in casa il pacco da un kg. (almeno a me) sta aperto dalle 3 alle 4 settimane.Usare pacchetti piccoli vuole dire esporre all'aria per la metà del tempo il caffè (e vediamo più avanti, se avete pazienza, perchè con questo tipo di caffè è ancora più importante).La confezione, per quel che può essere interessante, è di un materiale morbido, dall'aspetto quasi vellutato, molto bella e singolare.All'apertura del sacchetto si sente un aroma non intensissimo ma comunque presente.*** ASPETTO VISIVOI chicchi sono molto neri, indice di una tostatura molto scura, i grani sono grossi e di dimensioni e colore uniforme. L'aspetto superficiale che subito salta all'occhio è che sono molto oleosi.E questa è una caratteristica naturale, esatata dalla tostatura scura, che però implica che venga posta attenzione alla conservazione del sacchetto una volta aperto.Nel caffè verde infatti è presente una certa componente naturale di grassi e oli vegetali che non si degradano in tostatura ma, soprattutto nel caso di tostature particolarmente scure, fuoriescono sulla superficie dei chicchi rendendoli lucidi alla vista. Questi oli, a contatto con l’ossigeno e in presenza di luce, innescano immediatamente reazioni ossidative che producono abbondanti composti chimici volatili dall’odore rancido, soprattutto se i chicchi sono conservati a temperature elevate.Ecco perchè vi suggerirei di chiudere bene il sacchetto e di porlo se possibile in freezer.*** PROVA DI GUSTOLa prova di assaggio: ho preparato il caffè con una DeLonghi Caffè Corso che ho sempre caricato a grani utilizzando un Pellini Arabica 100% e che userò come termine di paragone.Il caffè (vedi video) scende goccia a goccia e questo mi rende particolarmente felice, molto denso e cremoso, il colore della crema è di un bel nocciola.Del gusto, anche se non sono un grande esperto nel trovare sapori nei cibi o bevande, mi ha subito colpito la nota di cioccolato amaro, non è particolarmente forte (è infatti un 3/5), assolutamente non acido, è morbido, non amaro, denso, lascia un buon sapore anche a distanza di minuti dall'assaggio.Io questo Ruanda lo promuovo e lo dichiaro migliore anche della Pellini 100% arabica che qualche retrogusto acido me lo lasciava (molto poco in realtà), sono curioso sia di provare le altre tipologie Happy Belly, sia, non appena diventerà disponibile su Amazon, di verificare il prezzo al Kg.,che se paragonabile ai 14-15€ del Pellini Arabica potrebbe far diventare questo il mio caffè preferito.Spero di essere stato utile, buon espresso a tutti!"}],"aggregateRating":{"@type":"AggregateRating","ratingValue":4.6923076923076925,"bestRating":5,"ratingCount":13}}
