My first thought upon opening the package and seeing the case was How Cute! My second thought was that it didn't feel quite as sturdy as I thought. After using it for a while I changed my mind and it did feel sturdier. It is also very light. I struggled trying to fit my iPad mini into the case. Over the course of a few days I took it on and off to see if it got easier, but it did not. It was easy enough for me to get off but I don't think it would be easy enough that a child could do it. It was comfortable to hold horizontally as you are holding onto the ears. Less comfortable to hold vertically since one side was the head and the other was basically flat. The trunk holds the iPad upright for viewing. However, it didn't stay up very well and if you picked it up to move it, you had to reset the trunk. I found that after a short time of viewing the trunk would sometimes close up and the ipad would be standing straight up instead of at an angle. I thought this would be flimsy or gimmicky or cheap. But no, it's adorable! The trunk works well as a stand. All of the other expensive ones that I have bought always had a stand that broke right away. This one is sturdy and strong. It is good thick silicone and super cute. Get a lot of compliments on it and it works so well. There is no screen protector. That is the only drawback, but honestly, the edges are thick silicone and it is very sturdy. Great! I wasted so much money on expensive complicated cases and all of them broke. This one was "cheap in price" and better quality than all of those put together. My 5 year old loves it!

Didn’t work well trunk to short

I purchased this for my 4 yr old grandsons ipad mini (my old ipad mini). It was replacing another protective protector. He was delighted. His words "his trunk is a stand and it stands up so good. It is an elephant and i love him. lets call him bob the elephant. So now bob the elephant is part of our life and goes with us.He has dropped bob the elephant and the ipad is fine and the drop was on cement. This protector is as protective as the other sponge person we had but he is much lighter and easier for my grandson to carry. I just wish they made one in the ipad air size and in purple i would purchase it in a heartbeat. I believe you will love this protector and i know the user of the ipad mini will love it.I can't emphasize it enough that it protected the ipad perfectly and it is so much lighter to carry around, oh yes and it is not as bulky, it is slimed down protector. As you can tell i love it and my grandson loves it. Yes i would purchase this at the regular price. thank you.

This case is exactly what I was looking for to protect my iPad from uncoordinated, tantrum-prone little users. I expected the material to have a plastic smell but it did not. The adorable elephant design has actually helped my 1-year-old be more gentle with it, since she does not want to hurt 'him'. When she is less-than-careful, it bounces away unscathed. The thicker sides provide a wide enough gap from the screen that she doesn't accidentally interfere with what she's watching. The bottom ledge doubles as a small snack holder. The trunk stand is sturdy & easily adjustable, though it doesn't lean back very far. If I had to nitpick for a downside, I'd say that the thickness of the cover would make it a little difficult for someone with large fingers to reach the power & volume buttons. I'd definitely recommend this case to those who share their iPads with young children.This product was provided at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

PROS* Perfect fit for the mini and very snug and* Leaves easy access to the buttons which is always a plus.* Lots of cushion for dropping the deviceCONS:* The trunk on the back of it should have an easier moving hinge. It does not pull out very far to secure the device on a dresser. You kind of have to force it.Does the job! Great buy!
