Sure beats plugging into the cigarette lighter!
Hardwired my TomTom satnav into my MG Midget. Couple of solder joints and a line fuse and bingo..!Excellent value for mono.

Low voltage
It didnt quite give the full 6v from a 12v battery, more like 5v.
