PioneerHiker 35L Water-Resistant Daypack Hiking Backpack for Camping Travel

For those of you who are considering traveling abroad or across the United States, the Pioneer TEC 35L Daypack can greatly accommodate your needs. This daypack serves as a great option for a carry on luggage piece on an airplane. Its length and width are the perfect fit underneath your airplane seat and can fit all of your needed accessories in its many compartments. While I was studying abroad in Thailand, I used this daypack on a hiking trip to carry my water bottle, sunscreen, umbrella and other necessities. Its lightweight feel made the trek seem effortless!Size and StorageThis daypack has a very organized layout; incorporating an equal amount of large and small compartments. For starters it has two large, deep zipper pockets, oriented towards carrying sizeable amounts of gear. While I used these compartments to simultaneously carry a lightweight sweatshirt, an extra pair of running shoes and notebooks you may also consider packing a first aid kit and repair tools. Furthermore, I used the medium sized snap compartment to store a small blanket; although, it would be the perfect size for you to store an umbrella for a rainy day. The two mesh pockets on the outside of the bag allowed me to carry an average sized water bottle and a can of sunscreen for quick and easy access. Lastly, the two smallest pockets were the perfect size for my mobile device, a trail map, a change of contact lenses and a flashlight.VersatilityAs you may notice in the picture above there are many straps encompassing the daypack. However, each strap is adjustable around the shoulders, waistline and chest to allow the bag to effortlessly fit your needs. The adjustability allowed me to easily carry a heavy load while hiking because I was able to distribute the weight evenly over my shoulders. This particular bag is easily compactible to ideally fit into another travel case if the need arises. Additionally, this bag comes in an array of colors to meet the wants and desires of both a male and/or female.DurabilityAfter having this daypack for almost two years, I can say that it is long lasting for the most part. It’s water-resistant nylon fabric has kept my belongings dry while trekking through a rainforest. Moreover, the material has held together extremely well after being thrown boat to boat while traveling to multiple coastal locations. I will note however, that if the bag is filled with too many things you may experience the zippers of the larger compartments becoming frail. In my experience, as long as you are able to fit your main necessities within the bag, and do not overstuff the compartments, you will not see any major problems with broken zippers.I hope by reading this review you were able to grasp the overall worth of this amazing backpack and I wish you the best in your adventures if you decide to purchase this product!

Very roomy and attractive backpack! Lots of space for a day hike, or a short overnight. I gave only 3 stars due the poor quality of the zippers. I wouldn't over pack this item for fear the zippers would rip apart. Also the shoulder straps are placed odd so may rub into your neck. I do like the pocket set up, the waist strap, and the color. They could have given a bit more length on the chest strap. It's a bit snug. Good item for the price.

I enjoyed the aesthetic design of this backpack, and size and waist buckle. And though I got good use out of it traveling, after two months of use the zipper to the main compartment broke completely making things very difficult when I was exploring a city. I had to quickly find a luggage store and spring for another backpack I would not have gotten otherwise, though the construction may be better....

the zippers are a little tough to move; but overall no harsh complaints about the backpack. Note, because it is also a laptop-ready pack, it is rather rigid in the back. probably not an issue if you use it like we do (for the kids extra change of cloths and water bottles)

My 8 yr old son loves this backpack. It's his everyday pack year round and it's super durable. We've only had one plastic fob cover over a bunge come off and to say that's all that's broken over almost 2 years is saying a lot with the way he treats this pack. And orange is popular with his peers and is his current fav color so it all works great for us.

Cool bag, excellent for the price. Four stars mostly because I could not ask for a replacement buckle. My plastic buckle broke on the first day of use and I would have liked a replacement. Amazon wanted me to either return the backpack or continue without any compensation. Stands out lightly and very good for my needs. Front zipper opens on its own; other zippers get stuck.

Strange fit. Rides way up on your back even with shoulder straps fully extended. So the waist belt fits across your stomach! Would be perfect for a child or small female. Good price, too bad it doesn't fit.

cheap zippers make it hard to close easily and quickly. Took a long time to get. Large enough for workout shoes, water bottle and change of clothes.
