It is time to get that chair fixed.This replacement lift cylinder is the standard size that fits most office chairs. It is approximately 2 inches at the base and 1 inch where it attaches at the seat plate. Get some extra lift. This cylinder is 10.5 inches when retracted and 15.5 inches at full length. Which is a few inches longer than the standard cylinder. Easy to do. Replacing it is straightforward and if you have trouble, feel free to call us and we will walk you through it (our number is included with the instructions). Notes on Compatibility with Herman Miller ChairsThis replacement cylinder fits great in the Aeron chair. There is an adjustment screw on that model of chair (directly above the cylinder, under the plastic cover) that may need to be adjusted for the cylinder to work properly. Also, if you own the Mirra chair from Herman Miller, this replace cylinder will not work in that particular model. The Mirra chair requires a replacement cylinder with a bracket and lever instead of the standard push button.
