Danzi: Flute and Clarinet Concertos (Galway)

I am really enjoying listening to this CD, beautiful music, some wistfully melancholy and some bright and lively. I thoroughly recommend it.However, like a previous reviewer I began to think it might not be an authentic Sony CD, although since I received this from Fulfillment Express, a "Fulfilled by Amazon" seller within a day, the CD should be genuine . I was a little puzzled by the insert. When I decided to read the notes on the insert to find out a bit about Danzi, I discovered there were none, and the paper felt thick and plasticky. The front cover has a black surrounding frame not the 2 shades of blue in the Amazon illustration, although both seem to cover up the bottom line of the credits.

I purchased the CD from Amazon weeks ago, but it has NOT appeared on my Kindle Fire music library. I will score it when it does! Action please.

I bought this item from Amazon around 10th July 2013 for a cost of £10.16 including P&P. I was advised that delivery would be by 5th August. It actually arrived 18th July, so no problem with delivery, however, I am of the opinion it is a bootleg copy. It plays no problem on my CD player, and the music is wonderful, but the wrapper looks home made, and as you can see on the picture shown, the bottom line of text is not quite fully shown. Also there is no CD label or number shown on the spine of the cover, or on the CD itself. One wonders if Sir James is getting any royalties from this copy? My copy originated in America, so perhaps Amazon have got some better versions now, especially as the price is now £12.88.

To me an unknown composer, very similar to Mozart. Beautifully played by the man with the golden flute. A real treasure.

I first heard a track from this cd on classic fm and had to find out what it was because it sounded so good. The whole CD is a delight from beginning to end. The quality of playing throughout is superb. Enjoy!
