I have had too many experiences (last*) with black-outs & brown outs. Therefore our household is ready with candles,matches etc. - in a kitchen draw. However we were missing a good source of light if we had to venture outside, in the event of no electricity. This product was a great purchase: 10 pack, various colors, good price = my kind of deal. :)There was a problem but Epsilon Designs alerted me thru email, before I received their product. As soon as I informed them of the shipping error, they sent the correct amount, at no extra cost to my pocket.Use: Thank God & our city grid - nothing negative from the heatwave. GREAT! But man oh man... I had no excuse to snap a Glow stick (gs). :( Believe me. As soon as I'd see a bulb flicker, I had a gs on stand-by. WHAT?!The occassion arose when the kitchen florescent light had to be replaced! LOL! I hawked (watched) my son's every move...GS: Good illumination - check; a that range my son had ampell light to work in. User friendly - check (the hook: helpful & red string: nice extra). Afterwards gs was taken outside to our terrace. Good source at floor level. Better when place on top of the tiny table that's out there. At Midnight as I checked our terrace door before bedtime, there it was. Seventh or eigth hour, still glowing. It was placed in the freezer. Two days later...my son looked in there & this great product glowed again with much lessbrightness mind you but glow it did.*Last time: Sure could have used this product in the Northeast blackout of 2003. If not for the few private vehicles' headlights &store owners lite candles, tripping & falling due to raised sidewalk sections was a possibilty . Believe when I say. "There's a Epsilon Designs glow stick in each of my immediate family member's backpack." I want to purchase more 10 packs to bless our friends & especially elderly neighbors.Thanks for taking the time to read this, my Review.

This product is just as described!! Easy to bend to activate!! Bright glowing light!! (Not like some other glow sticks that hardly light up a thing!!) Will be using this while camping in our tent and, since we tried one of the 10 sticks that arrive in the pack, (to make sure it was bright enough), we are thrilled with the brightest of the glow!!Now, to be fair, we only have tried 1 so far (a green one) but... if the others turn out as amazing, will report back on the other colors (at least the ones we use on this trip).I see there is a question repeated by potential customers as to how many come in this pack... we received a pack of 10.Pricey but, if you want a really bright glow stick, this is worth it!!We will see how long this one lasts. Claim is 12 hours. Will report back if it lasted that long.Update (Hour 10): Since I left the glow stick standing overnight, I cannot tell you when the effectiveness of the light of the glow stick began to fade but at the 10th hour, it was emitting half the light.Hope this helps someone!! I would definitely buy these again for INSIDE A TENT use, however - - -!!Updated (after 4-day camping trip):The glow sticks were pretty useless for lighting up the ground and the area around us when walking back to our campsite in the dark. To be fair, I doubt any glowstick would be useful for this purpose. Here, I think only a flashlight or lantern is suggested.But, they provide decent light in the tent.The company checks up on you after the purchase.... that is a major positive. ::WARNING:: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! Let me start by saying that my family and I are getting ready to take a vacation to Disney World and I thought this would make a great surprise gift for my children once we we're there, so I ordered this item and paid for express shipping to insure it would arrive on time. It arrived within 2 days, however the package only contained 1 glow stick!I basically paid over 30 bucks for 1 glow stick. The description reads "6" GLOW STICKS IN PACKS OF 10 ", along with several pictures clearly showing ten sticks of various colors. So I immediately contacted Amazon who offered great customer service btw and they credited me for the order and had me re-order the product again with express shipping to make sure I got these before my vacation. The package arrived again within 2 days and guess what? ONLY 1 GLOW STICK AGAIN!! How can this company think they can get away with selling customers 1 glow stick for 20-30 dollars?? I have now run out of time to order again from anywhere else and now have to run around town to find these before I leave. NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THIS COMPANY!! Amazon was great in making sure I wasn't scammed by these people so I will continue to order from them.

The packaging states a 2year shelf life, however, nothing else on the packaging informs the user of its expiration date.

The light sticks worked fine but they weren't as dazzling as expected for $2.50 / stick! (19.99 for 10 sticks +4.50 shipping)

Originally ordered pack of 10 glowsticks for $19.99 and only received 1 glowstick. Was contacted 1 day later by customer service of Epsilon Agency and informed that this was an issue with shipping from their warehouse. They proceeded to ship me two packs of 10 glowsticks free of charge for the mishap. This was a very respectable customer service response.As for the glowsticks themselves, they are great --- very bright and long-lasting. Based on this and the excellent customer service when a shipping problem occurred, I will be a repeat customer in the future.
