It seems like I may have found a new genre, not just a new author!
This is a compilation of short stories.... so far, I have only read the intro, which discusses the genre of western-horror in all of the various formats since the genre began in the early 20th century (includes short stories, film, and comics), the first story, and a part of the 2nd, as I downloaded the free sample. I am looking forward to reading more, when I am able to buy it. The stories, what I have read, are well-written with good plot and character development. The violence and sexual content are not graphic or explicit.

Chilling Western Tales !!!!
There are 19 tales in this collection, for the most part, by authors I've never heard of before, except for Eric Red, the reason I purchased this book, as identified on his website. His is the last tale in the book, 'The Buzzard', and was reminiscent of a horror tale I once read in a Tales From The Crypt comic reprint. There were also 4 other tales that were quite good, 'The Buzzard Women', 'In Thunder's Shadow'. 'The Dark Cell', 'The Two Of Guns' . There's also a nostalgic introduction by Kevin Ross, the editor, that's quite interesting. There's no copyright information as to when or where these stories first appeared and I would have liked to see a brief recap of all the author's bio's, like in most other collections. Overall it 's an entertaining read for fans of horror/western fiction.
