AlkaZax Multi-Strain Probiotic, Alkalizer and Immunity for Dogs, 3 Oz

I don't know if this product does what it claims, but it seemed to make my dog oddly ill. She became incontinent and for the first time in her life was pottying all over the house uncontrollably. She's eight years old---never had a problem before. She stopped the behavior once I quit giving these to her. I could be making an inaccurate cause and effect here, but that's pretty coincidental.

We have a 15 year old Chihuahua with kidney disease, but is otherwise pretty feisty. All the good reviews and a news article convinced us to try this. We also asked our vet about this and while she was unfamiliar with it, she reviewed it and said it would be fine to give her. My one complaint is there is absolutely no dose information. Not even a recommended amount, weight based amount... nothing. I realize this may be due to it not being an approved drug or substance, and more of a "supplement", but come on, we all need to know how much to give our dogs!As for its impact? I have not seen as dramatic an effect as others (Gee, maybe if I knew how much to give?). It is really hard to tell, but on day one she jumped off the couch and she hasn't done that for three years! Hardly scientific evidence, but this substance does seem to have merit and for anyone caring for an older dog, I would definitely recommend trying it.

I don't understand this product. It has garlic in it. Dogs can't eat garlic!

Garlic is said to be toxic for dogs and cats! I was excited to find some help for my Lab that has digestive issues, until I read the ingredients! Please research anything anything before you give it to your dog or cat. I'd be interested in knowing how the company justifies putting it in there.

My dog Phoebe is sitting over the hill at 12 1/5 years old. She's always had a very out going personality, however I did notice over the last year she was starting to resemble more of the qualities of a dog her age. Very slow to get up, no more running and jumping, The energy was just sucked right out of her. So I figured why not give it a shot. Well let me tell you after a few weeks Phoebe was BACK! With some! She was just bouncing off the walls, endless energy, she seemed happier than ever. She hasn't jumped on the couch in over 10 years. There she was. I and my dog are both very happy customers. I recommend this for any dog owner.

My dog had kidney failure after 15 years, my doctor had me on this for about 2 years, he says the Alkazax is probably the only reason why my dog lived so long. I know it made a bid difference when I gave it to him.

Finally a product that gets rid of my dog's smelly bathroom problems, no more odors for him. I can't believe how well this works, I read the article on nbc news and every word is true!
