My old laptop doesn’t have any USB C Type connectivity, just the old original USB A Type connectors so it was good to find something relatively simple I could use to connect my more modern external hard drive and of course my mobile phone.These connectors come in a pack of 4 in a small resealable bag and are held securely in a plastic tray which is useful to keep them safe and easy to find if you drop them into a computer bag pocket.Although I didn’t need 4 connectors they are small enough to lose if you’re not careful but also small enough to keep one in your pocket. I tend to keep one in my pocket along with the small cable I have for my phone so I can plug it into any USB A Type socket (e.g. on public transport) and charge my phone up wherever I might be. The rest are with my laptop in the laptop bag.Plugging one of these into my laptop allows me not only to charge my mobile phone but to transfer data between the laptop and my phone (you will need the appropriate app or software to be able to do this but most mobile manufacturers have this readily available).Similarly, when I connect my external hard drive to my laptop via this connector I am able to transfer data between the two devices. This allows me to play movie, video and music files that I have stored on my hard drive on the laptop through this connector without any problems.A very nifty bit of kit for those who have need, like me, to connect modern equipment to legacy laptops, etc. and at a great price too!

You can convert USB charger to USB c does the job if you don't want to buy a USB c fast charger

These adapters work some of the time. Changed out cables too. Intermittent working.I think Samsung are trying to corner the market so you must purchase their own branded products. At RRP!

Like many people I’m sure, I have a lot of legacy USB-A plugs and an older laptop & OC neither of which have a USB-C port ... and I also have a new iPhone 12 that only shipped with a USB-C to Lightning cable.So the solution was this handy pack of connectors which allow me to charge my phone with its original cable.They come in a handy plastic holder, and because there are 4 in pack I have plugged one into both m PC & laptop, and they are small enough that I’ve popped one in my wallet too ... and still have a spare!

This is a nice product. Came packaged in a moulded plastic four-pack but, very handily, in a resealable zip-lock packet that can be used for storage, unlike others where the packaging has to be broken to open.The price is very good and for that you get four. All worked as expected for charging and also tested for audio transmission. No problems at all.Note the description that these (and many similar) are not suitable for the transmission of video as I don't think they support video bandwidths.If I need any more this is where I'm coming.
