Household Essentials 601 Medium Shelf Basket with Wood Handles | Multi-Purpose Home Storage Bin | Brown Coffee Linen, Medium, Cocoa

I never would have dreamed these would hold up as well as they have. When we remodeled our mudroom, I decided to buy bins to keep the kids' shoes in. These were the right size to slide underneath the bench I had, and I figured if I got a year or two out of them that would be great. It's now been over six years, and the kids have been sliding them back and forth across the tile floor to throw their shoes in multiple times a day. I'm now back to order one more because we have baby number 5 on the way and I'm so pleased to see they're still for sale! Have lifted them up to check the bottoms for wear, thinking they might not be in as good a shape as I thought, but no problems there. You can't even tell they've been used and abused all this time.

I have been looking for a book basket for our living room to store my son's books in that didn't look tacky in the room. The old one I had was an actual basket and pieces kept breaking off making me worry he would find and eat them. This one is awesome! Not only does it look nice but it is sturdy enough to hold several books and the weight of my 30lb. / 9mo old son who likes to hold onto it while he pulls books out. I'm a happy Mama with this purchase!

I bought this bin because my 11 month old daughter discovered the fun of filling a box and emptying out the toys. The toy bin I had was wood and was getting splinters everywhere. Obviously that's a bad thing with a child who puts everything in her mouth. So after some research, I bought this bin.It is fantastic. It holds quite a lot of toys and is attractive. The metal framing is sturdy enough that my daughter can brace herself on it while she digs for the toys. I even put her in it and piled the toys on top of her, and she fit and had plenty of room (and she's a big girl)!My husband was shocked when he remarked on how nice it was and I told him that it was only $14. He said he thought it would be twice that much from how nice it looks. I highly recommend this bin!

Update review... 7 years later9/17/2020 update - We liked the first one so much that I had purchased 7 more of these shortly after my original review... I still have 6 out of the 8 and they are still AMAZING.The 2 I no longer have is because they were being used for transporting heavy things for too long and their handles broke. I still get compliments on the ones I have left; they are used for family laundry hauling and toy storage.Original review 9/23/2013PRACTICALITY: - This product is way durable - I bought this as a laundry basket for my toddler; his clothes don't need such a large hamper. - We bought it for him when he was 15 months old and he has been able to carry it around from day one (that speaks to the light weight-ness of this product).APPEAL: - The coloring of this bin's fabric is not solid... which I like because the subtle blend of colors allows it to mingle nicely with my son's cherry wood furniture. - The inside is not as aesthetically pleasing as the outside so I'm glad I didn't order it as a decorative piece.OTHER: - I wish it had a larger twin somewhere so we could order one for our own laundry too!

I was looking for a bin that would function as a decorative shoe container for the entryway to my home and I saw this product and read from one of the reviews that it worked well for that purpose. Still, it was a bit of a gamble all the same. I looked at the measurements of the product (medium size) and thought it seemed kind of small for my needs, but I decided to give it a shot and I am so happy I did.This was perfect. It fits cozily in the corner of my entry way. My kids no longer throw their shoes everywhere!!! It fits many more shoes than I expected from the measurements. The wood handles and fabric exterior give it a nice look, but the interior wire frame appear durable to withstand constant use.****UPDATE****It's been almost a year since I bought this item and have been using this bin for shoes in that time. I was pleased with it; however, it's durability has come into question. One of the wooden handles shattered and I barely ever move the bin. I must say I am disappointed and I reduced my 5 star rating to a 4 star rating for this reason.

It’s not bad for the price. The overall structure is decent however the material is so thin. We purchased 4 of them. I thought it’d be a thicker burlap, but it’s actually a very thin canvas, almost see through. We kept them because they were the perfect size for what we needed (an unusually difficult size to find) but I wish they wouldn’t have been better quality.

I really like this basket, I was trying to find a shoe basket to hold our shoes. It's a little too small for that. But could be used to hold other things. Here is a picture of the basket with two pairs of shoes inside, as you can see there is still a little extra room to maybe put one more pair of shoes inside, but that's about it.I like it. I will use it for other things!

The color shown in the photos is very inaccurate. The basket I received is very light tan, with an even lighter tan stripe on the bottom, as seen in my first photo. The light stripe isn't shown in the product description at all. The fabric this is made of is very thin, so thin it is see through. I placed a green ball behind the basket in the second photo and you can see it right through the material. The fabric isn't taught against the frame. It just feels and looks flimsy.

Returned. Fabric was saggy and the bin has no structural integrity. Overpriced for the terrible quality.

Lo utilizo para la ropa sucia y el tamaño está perfecto. Es muy ligero.El color es un poco más claro que la fotografía, pero sólo un poco. Sigue combinando con mi clóset color chocolate y/o expresso. Muy feiz con mi compra.

Cheap choice but does what it needs to. We just have it for a magazine holder on the floor.
