Q: Will this fit an excel 24" top mount sand filter?

I don't know , but it fits great on an 18" Hayward top mount filter and does an excellent job.

Q: What size pressure gauge will fit this?

I’m not sure about what you need in particular. But this valve is a cheap knock off and spits out sand into the pool every time I back flush it and then turn it back on to filter ... I wish I would have paid more for an actual Hayward product!

Great buy, faster shipping than expected.

It was easy to install. Did not have to make any change to my hoses or pipes. Works like a charm. They should probably sell it with a rubber o ring to make the seal. Luckily the old one was still in good shape.
