Putting your socks on is easy with this device. And you can do it easily with one hand!
This works amazingly well. It is a little difficult to get the socks on it, but once you get the hang of it it's not that bad. But if you do not have a wide foot get the narrower model for that reason. But that isn't the main point of my review. I have severe arthritis, and my flexibility is reduced. Putting socks and support stockings on has been a real problem for some time. With this product once you put the sock on the device, you just put it on the floor. Then put your foot between the ropes and slide your foot to the tip of the sock. And finally pull the ropes to remove the device from inside the sock. Typically the sock is now on to the ankle, and all is left is to pull up the sock. It is really easy to do.Edit:4-19-2017I've had this product over a year now. If anything, I like the sock-aide more now. I wish that I had long before. If for any reason that you have difficulty putting on your socks (from a sore back to an arm in a sling), this makes putting on your socks with one hand easy.

Excellent!
Who ever invented this is a genius! Talk about a lifesaver, I have a bad left hip and cannot bend my left leg as well without pain. This little device has helped me keep my dignity. I no longer need to ask my husband for any help putting on my compression stockings. The sock slips over the Aid with relative ease. If you have strength problems or severe arthritis in your hands this may be a little difficult for you. Some people say talcum powder helps but I can still put the sock over the aid with just a little effort. Regular socks are no problem, but compression stockings are another story. I hope this little helper lasts forever, but if it doesn't I'll be happy to purchase another. Thank you again for a great and inexpensive product!

Easy Sock Donner
I've used a similar product for the past ten years or more. It was given to me when I was in the hospital following abdominal surgery. I used it daily as arthritis and scoliosis advanced, making it increasingly difficult for me to pull up my socks. My original sock donnor finally cracked from a decade of daily use, so I wanted to replace it.This replacement is sturdy and easier to use than my old one, but I've found the wide size to be much too big. My feet are about a D width, and this seems to be made for wider feet than mine. The main drawback is that the width of the device makes it difficult to position socks or stockings for donning. I can get a non-compression sheer knee high onto the device without a struggle, but getting my non-compression opaque knee highs onto the device is a challenge. I cannot use it with ankle socks. As we get into summer, I'll need to wear light compression stockings and won't be able to use this to help with tighter stockings. I'll keep this, but will probably be ordering a different style of stocking donner for compression stockings. I rated the device a little lower for ease of use because of the width. I highly recommend this type of stocking donner and this appears to be very well made, but I wish I'd gotten the standard size instead of the wider model.

I saw this product while in rehab. As I have wide feet I knew this would be a great help. I wish they sold these things in rehab. They told me to iorder from Amazon. The probem was the one in rehb could easily be squeezed and made putting the compression stockings easy to put on. The one purchased fro Amazon was so stiff it was impossible to use. I am still recovering and can't get out to return and may not bother. Too hard at this time.

Sock Aid - first try
This product was my first try at finding a sock aid and I can see already it can work for some people but not me. I have a wide foot and noticed you can get this one in either a wide or a regular width. I felt smart ordering the wide one first, but I was wrong. It's so wide and such rigid plastic I can't get my compression stockings over it. Maybe the regular size would work. This one does work for me in a regular sock that stretches quite a bit - at least it gets it over my toes where I can reach down enough to pull up the sock.

Exactly as described and shipped quickly
I always read the negative reviews first before I read the positive reviews. Many times, like for this item, it's clear from the review that the person either didn't read the directions, didn't read the description, or didn't understand what this is for. After the bad reviews then I read the good ones to see what people think who did read the directions and description. This is a VERY simple gadget made of two parts that does exactly what it claims to do. If it's too big or too small, don't blame the seller because of your misunderstanding or carelessness. When I make a mistake like that, I realize I goofed up and don't leave negative reviews blaming someone else.

Breaks easy..........
A simple device that works very well. Once broken in it's zip ,zip, your socks are on.NOTE: if your ankles swell you'll have to pull the sock over the ankle since this device isn't designed for that. It's still THE best donner I've found for compression socks. After a month or two of use (light compression hose) cracks developed at the bend on both corners then the crack finished full length trashing these donners. NEEDS BETTER QUALITY PLASTIC!!!Update...... by itself this device will crack and break soon after you start using it. I've had 4 do this after the date I can return them as defective. The plastic it's made from isn't heavy duty enough tolerate the strain of pulling hard to put on your sock. I just doubled & super glued two broken units to make one that IS thick enough to stand the strain.
