MagswitchStarter Kit w/Dual Roller Guide

I was dubious, very very dubious, but I was totally sold after the first time I used one.featherboards aren't technically hard to set up, but they are enough of a pain that most times I would just skip it. Not anymore. The Magswitch now sits on my tablesaw at all times. I get the board set up against the fence, slide the Magswitch into position and flick the magnet (one handed easy). The board stays in place as I finish prepping cut. It's actually easier to use the featherboard than not.Whether or not to get the universal base or a standalone is questionable. I bought a bunch of the other attachments to try them out and they have their uses. Nothing as game changer as the base Magswitch featherboards.At this point I am telling friends that the Magswitch is must have, and they must use it if they want to work in my shop.

I am amazed at the magnet strength and the ease of attaching them to your tabletop. I would love to give them a higher review, but unfortunately, I only got to use it once before I experienced a kickback that shattered 13 teeth off of the comb. I didn't think I had the featherboard too close to the saw blade, but as I came to the end of the cut, the off cut piece kicked back and took out all but a couple of the teeth of the featherboard. This very well could have been user error, but the fact that the teeth shattered and rendered the featherboard useless after one use, was really disappointing.

This is such a great idea.So easy to use.

A bit dissappointing. One of the brass inserts pulled out during assembly. I have glued it back into place and it appears to be holding. Time will tell.However on contacting Magswitch they have immediately offered a replacement. They also have supplied me their engineering production reply saying they have changed their way of inserting that insert during production..Very good support.Now I just need to organise myself to get the replacement.

Good quality. It's a great addition to my Magswitch system.
